Blackpaw jumped when Berrypaw spoke to her. "S-Sure.." Her voice was shaky and nervousness was visible in her green eyes.

Berrypaw led the way away from Cobrapaw until they were a safe distance away. She leaned in close to the other apprentice and let out a hiss “Stay away from Cobrapaw. He’s mine, understand?” She glared darkly at the She-cat in front of her, a glare that promised bad things would come.

Blackpaw followed Berrypaw until she stopped, turned to face her, and hissed. "I. . ." She hesitated, "I understand. . ." Blackpaw murmured, her expression turning crestfallen.

Duskthorn sighed as he trampled through the territory, thinking about Wildstrike and the last time he had spoken to him. The tom couldn't find his brother anywhere in camp, so he figured he must be out here. "Wildstrike? I... want to apologize, can you hear me?" Duskthorn shouted in a concerned tone. He sighed and continued to walk, breathing in the misty air and his eyes darting everywhere as he looked for Wildstrike. All the tom wanted to do was apologize for upsetting him, why was finding his brother so difficult? Suddenly a breeze picked up and Wildstrike's scent flickered faintly in front of his nose. He followed it, relying on the direction of the breeze to find him. His eyes caught Wildstrike laying down, seemingly alone on the grass. Duskthorn ran at full speed, but began to slow down as he realized there was something different about his brother. He inched closer, "W-Wildstrike? Are you okay?" It hit him right then, "Wildstrike! You-you've had kits! What are you doing out here? You should be in the nursery!" His nose twitched as he leaned over the kits, looking wide-eyed at his nieces and nephews. His head whipped up, "what are you doing out here? Does Silverscar know? Why isn't Daydream here? The kits will die out here!" His eyes spotted a pool of blood around his brother and his stomach flopped, "you'll die out here... I'm going to get Daydream." He hesitated as he stepped backward, not wanting to leave his brother alone.
Wildstrike heard sound off in the distance and out of instinct wrapped his tail around his kits in an attempt to shield them from any possible danger. He was incredibly lightheaded from all the blood loss and as such his vision- kind of sucked. Oh StarClan, he thought what if it was a fox? Or badger. OR... a hawk!? Anyone one of those threats would spell doom for him and his kits. He then out in of the corner of his eye spotted what appeared to be a cat rushingly approaching him. Wildstrike quickly scented what seemed to be Duskthorn and lifted his tail his 'theory' confirmed when the other tom slowed down and he got a good look at him. "Yeah, Duskthorn I'm-" He began before halfway through beginning to dry hack flicking some blood upon the ground, "f-f-f-fine and so are my kitties... oh- Duskthorn aren't they just so beautiful?" He muttered blissfully, panting slightly from how hot everything seem to be. "I named Thornkit after you if that's okay- I mean isn't that one of the prettiest names you ever heard- Thornkit~" Wildstrike simpered softly nosing a light grey tabby tom-kit who was weakly suckling and softly trembling in the breeze, "I don't know if Silverscar knows nor do I really understand how I got here I just remember pain and pushing and the lovely shrieking sounds of my kittens when they were born." He mewed resting his head on the ground and taking slightly finicky breaths. "No! Duskthorn don't go! Lay by me! Don't you at least want to hear your nieces and nephews names?" Wildstrike whimpered feebly tugging on his brother's tail not wanting him to leave him alone in the woods. @Boba Fett @Broken Madness

The Bengal stood there for a moment awkwardly, his tail swishing back and forth as he looked over his mate. What had happened to them? He remembered they’d used to be so close - at one point, he’d considered her one of his best friends. But it seemed like they just hadn’t talked lately… Moondancer didn’t even know about what’d happened to the kits. Ocelotpath hadn’t seen Mothpaw, or Silentpaw, or even Mintpaw in quite some time now. He missed the kits. He hadn’t spoken to Speckledpaw lately, and hadn’t spent any time with Pearlpaw in quite a long time… he was losing his entire family, right before his eyes.
He wasn’t supposed to have a favorite kit, but Ocelotpath had always been a little partial to Silentpaw - it’d destroyed him when the tom had supposedly disappeared. ”Well, you’ve been busy, I’m sure. A lot’s happened lately. With Halestar, before, I know it was hard, but - but it’s been a while since then.” This was the only way Ocelotpath knew how to say what he was trying to. That Moondancer should have come back to them - come back to normal by now. He wasn’t happy that things had turned out the way they had. The former leader shouldn’t have gotten rid of his mate, and he definitely missed the old Moondancer. It felt like she had changed a lot since that had happened. ”So… how’ve you been?” He didn’t have anything else to talk about with her. Ocelotpath, for once, was without anything to say.
He didn’t know whether or not he should try and dig a little deeper yet, and he wasn’t good at those conversations - he’d never been good at them. All he wanted was to go on a hunt and a walk and talk about nothing with the pretty she cat - but he couldn’t even do that, not yet. Not until he was fully comfortable around her again. Even though he didn’t have as strong of feelings for her now, there was still something Ocelotpath couldn’t get rid of… and by spending time with her, he could either get closure on that or recover their relationship. Either way, everything would be fine.
Moondancer peered at Ocelotpath and stepped back from him slightly. Did he not love her anymore? She knew she had taken distance from him, but she still loved him. She didn't want their relationship to be scarred from this whole thing. "I'm sorry... I should've spent much more time with you and the kits, this whole thing just.. It's gotten to my head. Especially how I sort of abandoned the kits in a selfish manner to take care of my deputy duties... And now three of them are missing and I have no idea where they are... It's just all too much for me"
The words flowed out of her. She really wanted to apologize and make Ocelotpath understand that it had nothing to do with him.´ "I've been very worried about the kits, especially when they were smaller... I suppose I was too afraid of it all going wrong again, after Wolfpaw.. So I took distance to them, and now more than half of them are missing.."
She mumbles, peering at him and seeming to think for a second. "Have I ever told you about Wolfpaw, actually?"
