Cherrybubble listened to Aldertwist, impressed with her story. As she asked about Cherrybubble’s own, the feline smiled sheepishly. “Heh heh.... Mine was definitely not as amazing as that.” Cherrybubble thought back to that day she had finally caught her first piece of prey. “Back when I was as an apprentice, I was absolutely horrible at hunting. I’m mediocre now, but anyways...” The feline flicked her ears with embarrassment as she continued.

“My first catch was a good moon after I became an apprebtice, and it wasn’t pretty. Literally. I finally managed to catch a small bird, a sparrow, and I mangled it so much in the process that it wasn’t exactly eatable anymore.” Cherrybubble let out a small laugh. “I remember my mentor trying to give me some encouragement, but she finally was like ‘yeah I have absolutely no hope for you right now...’ But of course we both laughed it off. She was a great mentor.” The feline actually let out a longer, real laugh this time. “I love reminiscing in good memories.”

aldertwist's head dipped in agreement. she laughed as well, although it was softer and less enthusiastic. "i guess some cats may be a little more skilled in hunting than others. it took me almost a full day to catch the mouse, and even when i did, it was a sloppy kill. it nearly got away four times before i was able to get the final blow." shrugging, she let out a quiet sound, thinking. "if you want, we could go for a hunt and i could show you a few techniques?" her tail prodded cherrybubble's flank, eyes holding a questioning glint.

nose twitching, aldertwist began to walk a slow circle around the other molly, watching her closely. "it's only a suggestion, of course," she added after a while, tail swaying as she awaited a response.

Fernpaw followed her across to the shady area, confused and curious about what she had to say. “What’s going on? Are you in trouble?” She asked, hoping that wasn’t the case.

Swallowshine looked away from her sister, hurt. She wanted to respond, but she didn't possibly know how. I know sisters have fights, but that stung! She thought, butt hurt. Swallowshine shrugged. "Whatever you say." She muttered, sulking. You think so less of me! What did I ever do to you? Should I really follow you now? But she knew she had to find out what happened. "Lead the way." (No hard feelings by the way.)

Watertail watched as Swallowshine looked away, and then she turned back, but Watertail saw the pain glittering in her eyes. Watertail knew she had been a bit rude and cruel, but some days it was the only way Watertail felt she could really get through. She flicked her tail, turning towards the exit of the camp, but an ominous thought rung through her skull. What if Swallowshine tells someone? She dismissed it with a flick of her ear. Swallowshine may dissaprove, but she doubted her sister would do such a thing. “I’m sorry.” Watertail murmured, resting her long striped tail along her sister’s spine. “I shouldn’t have snapped.” She meowed quietly, before pushing through the brambles guarding camp.

Slugbones was inspecting the pile of prey with such intensity he had to blink back moisture into his eyes after a moment. Bags of exhaustion hung beneath the toms eyes and his shoulders had an obvious sag while his tail dragged behind him in the dust. He bent down to pick up a scrawny looking vole and glanced around for somewhere to sit, a particular patch of sunlight occupied by a grey tom caught his attenion and slugbones lazily hauled himself over careful not to disrupt the toms sun bathing. "Mind if I sit here?" he asked softly, his voice low with the lack of energy.

Alabasterpaw lay on her side, nestled between her paws was a mouse, still warm and bleeding from its stomach from bite marks. The white apprentice examined it closely watching how the blood pumped out between the lacerations of the
k-9's. She smiled contently and pressed down harder on either side of the mouse with her paws sinking her claws into its torso and shoulders, clear muse swept across her narrowed features as she applied more and more pressure seeing the mouses body contort to fit the shape of her cupped paws. The blood pumped out quicker until the mouse bones started to crack under the weight and she released her grasp settling the contorted mouse back down on the ground with a sigh. Her amusement was gone. Used up. she looked back up interested in anything else to do than sit here, irispaw was out with her mentor at the moment leaving her to laze around camp considering she no longer had a mentor, or at least she had everyone fooled.

Walking out of her den Shineclaw saw Alabasterpaw playing with her mouse and she walked up to her."Are you going to eat that mouse" she asked calmly. and she looked around the camp and then looked at Alabasterpaw for an answer.
