Mudnose settled down next to her and twitched his brown nose, his brown and cream fur gaining a tint of gold in the bright sunlight,"Oh, I've been well; huntings been good, there's no struggle for water or too much of it, and I've been sleeping well," 'except for last night, I felt like I didn't get any sleep at all!' Was what he wanted to add, but he kept his mouth shut, not wanting to tqlk about it, and just continued smiling,"How about you?" He returned the question politely.

"Thats great." Lotuswish purred. "I've been well, same as you, after all, we are in the same clan!" She laughed, even though she could see there was something troubling the tom through his uncertain gaze, even if his face was smiling. She yawned. "But I've been bored lately - there been nothing exciting happening!"

Mudnose laughed,"Yes, well I'd rather nothing exciting happen than something exciting - in a bad way - happens, you know?" He replied, half joking and half scolding the molly. The conversation was starting to - just barely - take Mudnoses mind off of Perchkit.

Lotuswish nodded, a thoughtful look on her face. "Yes, well, I suppose. But other times, I just wish life would give me something to attack that wasn't prey." She rolled on her back and playfully swatted at the air, her claws sheathed. She didn't mind the scolding edge to his tone because she knew he did not mean to be mean. She looked up at him grinning, a playful look on her face.

Mudnose chuckled,"Well... I mean... You've always got moss to sink your claws into! Right?" He padded up to a nearby tree in the camp and expertly scooped off some moss by the base of the tree. Then the tom padded back to Lotuswish and tossed the moss all to her,"Catch!"

Lotuswish snorted and rolled her eyes playfully when she saw him go get moss. She hopped onto her paws and caught it with a purr of satisfaction. "You're such a kit!" She laughed, tossing it back. "Catch!"

Mudnose purred, grinning;"I know! And I'm proud of it! You realize kits are just about the sweetest and cutest things in the five territories and beyond, right? I was also going to say fluffiest, but no ones fluffier than me!" He laughed jokingly as he caught it and threw it back.
