Dream awoke from the first peaceful slumber he had had for a while, feeling well-rested. He walked out of the den.

Okhmhaka awoke from a dreamless night, her mind still drowsy and unclear. Yawning, she stretched her white paws outwards, whining near the end of her yawn. Arching her back and standing up, she scraped together the small nest she had made for herself under a rock overhang. The rotted leaves were comfortable enough, and she finished making her bed. Gazing critically at her well-made nest, she nodded to herself and padded out of the cold den.
Blinking, her blue eyes adjusted quickly to the bright daylight of spring. The No-Kill season was over, and day had started returning to the howling tundras. The reborn sun hovering above the horizon glistened back from the white snow of the pack’s territory.
She shook out her fur, her tail lifted high in greeting as she glanced around and saw Dream, just exiting from his den. She barked to him, her ears at a neutral position to not show any friendliness or anger.
“Dream,” She greeted, padding towards him.

Okhmhaka’s eyes turned back to Dream. He had asked a question, it seemed. “Tired,” she responded plainly. It was the truth.
She had hunted like a menace last evening, chasing snow foxes and arctic hares to catch anything. She had often done this, but that time she gave up and went home, her eyes droopy and her paws weary.
She longed to see Khan, but hadn’t wanted to wake nor disturb him at midnight. It had been a long day for the whole pack, it seemed, as everyone was just kickstarting for the long Plenty-Kill days ahead.
She licked her lips. Her stomach was howling at the thought of her hunt last night, and her chops needed something to plunge into. Perhaps there was a hare carcass around.

Lalima awoke as the first sunlight of morning shone on her face through the entrance of her den, she gave a big yawn and blinked away the sleep that still hung on her, it took her a few minutes to get used to the bright morning and having to get out of her cozy little nest. She slowly stood up and drowsily padded out of the den, she saw Okhmhaka and Dream busy in their conversation. She dipped her politely in greeting as she passed them and continued to walk away, she followed where her paws took her and she halted to a stop, it was a peaceful little corner of camp where usually only Lalima usually goes. She sighed and rested her head over her paws as she waited for her packmates to get up and start the day.

Dream nodded, and waited for Okhmhaka to dismiss him, or maybe Okhmhaka had something else to say.
