"Yawn!" Shinykit rose to his paws. "Where are the other kits?" Shinykit remembered his journey yo shadowclan from thunderclan. "Featherkit! We got to go back before anyone finds us!"Nervously pacing around, watching his sister rise to her paws.

I rubbed my eyes, despite the fact i did not sleep, and rose to my feet.

Ravenvine let out a purr too. Rarely he had the opportunity to share tongues, as others considered him, well, different. He was certainly enjoying this, even if it wasn't his own fur getting groomed, getting to be like this with a clanmate who fit his category of being so called different. Watching her gulp up the rest of the bird he smiled yet again, and started grooming her neck. "Never shared tongues before?" he asked softly, getting back into his work. Her fur was a master piece of tangles and twigs and he subtly moved to the other side to get the opportunity to untangle her fur with his paws. Closing his bad eye - to better concentrate on what he could see and not be disturbed by the shadows in the left eye - he began to part her fur, while still softly purring and licking her neck.

Tuftbreeze turned her gaze to her paws, embarrassed. "Is it really that obvious?" She mumbled, sneaking a glance up at the tom. A soft smile came to her face as she took him in, one eye closed as he concentrated on her messy fur. "It's been a while since I groomed it," she apologized to Ravenvine, trying to take a look at the state of her fur without moving out of the tom's reach and disrupting him. Of course, the one time she isn't kept neat and clean, she ends up sharing tongues with a clanmate. Normally, the molly was on top of her appearance. Grooming kept her busy, stopped her from overthinking and prevented her panic attacks from coming on. She would have been grooming herself now, had she not started speaking to the black tom. She was slightly embarrassed at her state, but not as much as she would have if it'd been someone else in the clan. As she'd already realized, the molly was much more at ease in Raven's presence than she was with most others.

”Really, Squirtkit? That’s the best you can do? Well then why don’t I call you Dirtpaw? You clearly smell like it.” Shiverkit places his tail over his nose, feigning coughing. “Ugh the smell is so bad, I don’t get how you live with yourself!” He growled, though there was a slight laugh in with it. Shiverkit has faced plenty of hatred from other kits in the nursery, and so he’d learned how to defend himself. He’d learned how to be feisty, and not show any weaknesses. To him, his blindness was a strength. Because no cat would know what hit them when he actually did beat them at everything. They underestimated him. And Shiverkit hated being underestimated.

As she made a comment about his eyes, Shiverkit wasn’t even surprised. He knew she’d figure it out sooner or later, his blank stare wasn’t something he could exactly, well, hide. Not that he wanted to anyways. “You don’t scare me Dirtpaw. Clearly there are only two reasons you’re picking on me. One, you’re bored with your life and you can’t thonk of anything better to do than pick on a ‘helpless’ kit.” He rolled his eyes, emphasizing the word “helpless.” Shiverkit knew he was anything but helpless. “Or two, this helps you feel better, because inside, you’re hurting, because cats hurt you.” No cat could doubt the young kit’s intelligence. His father, Frostedflicker, was an older warrior with many moons under his paws, and Shiverkit had learned plenty from his old dad. Life lessons, social interactions, everything pretty much. And Shiverkit took it all in like a warm sun during leaf-bare. “Either way, it really makes you, well... dirt.” His growl was fierce, and his eyes narrowed, this time he pointed them towards her scent, to get the illusion that he could see her, and was looking at her.

The comment about her smell didn't even register to Rosepaw as an insult and instead the fluffy feline just laughed, unable to hold it back anymore. Her shoulders shook with the waves of it and she grinned, a malicious look gleaming in her eyes. "Oh, young Shiverkit. You must've had you nose in your parents' fur for too long." This kit was witty, she'd have to give him that at least, but the multi-colored apprentice was far from over messing with him. It was just too easy. And Flashpaw was still nowhere to be found. It seemed her sister had forgotten all about their plans to prank Daydream, which left a rather bored and disgruntled Rosepaw up to her own thoughts. Which, clearly, were focused on making this kit's day worse.

"You're a feisty little squirt, aren't you?" Rosepaw cooed, her eyes becoming round with laughter and humor as she continued to stare Shiverkit down, though her expression was much more relaxed. It wasn't like anything he said really got to her, because she'd heard it all; heartless, piece of crowfood, rogue, mouse-dung... But dirt was definitely a new one. "Hmm, Dirtpaw... I'll talk to Goldenstar about that maybe. It's got a unique ring to it," she purred, deciding to give life to the insult rather than let it hurt her. Her tail flopped from one side to the next as she sat down, moving her head to the other side. A couple moments of silence drew out between them, during which Rosepaw hovered one of her paws close to Shiverkit's face, swinging it back and forth quietly. "You must visit my sister in the medicine den a lot. Fall down a lot of holes, run into things... It's no wonder Goldenstar is planning on leaving you in the Syndicate's old territory - oh, wait, darn it, you weren't suppose to know that!" Her voice had the perfect masking of shocked and dismay, a mock frown taking place across her expression. "It was suppose to be a "surprise" after your apprentice ceremony. That's where I heard your mentor was going to take you."

Tigerkit crawled through the bramble, into the nursery. "I need help!" he yowled, the eight-moon-old cat trembling in fear. "Me and Maplepaw... ran off... trying to catch some gartersnakes... she is in the forest... being hunted by a rogue!" he said loudly.
