"That was just a normal camp beetle, there's wayyy cooler ones out in the territory! Just lift up a leaf or a rock and they're everywhere!" he exclaimed, his eyes widening with delight. Having just been made an apprentice recently, he'd only gone out into the territory once with his mentor, refusing to leave camp without him for the moment. After the encounter with the rude WindClan cat, he didn't want to risk anything. Just a small insult was enough to scare Cedarpaw into staying in the camp.

As she realized that Cedarpaw hadn't seen where the beetle had disappeared to either, Dawnpaw felt disappointment circle underneath her pelt. But just as soon as it had come, it was gone with a fresh wave of excitement as he mentioned the ones in the territory. She hadn't really ever been out in the territory yet without Wolfdancer, aside from her disastrous run in with Chivewhisker. "There are?? I haven't even looked yet!" she exclaimed, jumping up and down in front of him. Blue orbs shining with life, she pranced around him. "We should go! I don't have training with Wolfdancer yet. Would Firehawk let you go out?? Maybe he could even come with us! Or, they could both go! A beetle expedition!" Dawnpaw came to a halt with her dancing around Cedarpaw, now on the other side of him. "You think Firehawk and Wolfdancer would let us go out by ourselves?" she echoed, not sure how her mentor would feel about that. She hadn't even told her about her walk through the forest and her run in with Chivewhisker. She'd been alone then, and knew it was technically frowned upon for apprentices to leave camp without their mentor or another warrior. Curious, Dawnpaw turned her gaze onto Cedarpaw, searching his own amber eyes for his thoughts on it.

The young apprentice gently stirred in her sleep, eyelids peeling open slowly to reveal her tired pale blue eyes to Aspenleaf. Upon realising who it was, the apprentice jumped up, nudging her mentor in an amiable fashion. Oceanpaw couldn't begin to describe the relief she felt knowing Aspenleaf was okay, that she'd managed to return safe and sound. She knew realistically she couldn't have done anything more to help, but she still felt guilty about leaving her mentor there alone. "Are you sure you're okay with training me today? After yesterday?" The smaller she-cat inquired, her voice much smaller than it usually was and filled with doubt and nervousness. “Yes I’m sure now shall we head out to go to the river to teach you how to swim?” Aspenleaf asked “Or do you want to see Sunningrocks first?”

Re: RiverClan Clearing
(It is currently 23:39 so 11:39PM here in London)
Oceanpaw was glad her mentor was up for training today, though she still couldn't rid herself of the nagging guilt she felt at the back of her mind. She'd hoped it would go away soon, once she'd spent the day with Aspenleaf. She pondered what she preferred doing, but eventually settled on wanting to see sunningrocks first; they didn't get the chance to yesterday, and Oceanpaw prayed to starclan today would be different. "I'd like to go see sunningrocks if thats okay?" The apprentice mewed, stretching out her body after the deep sleep she'd had. Her fur, being so short, was not too hard to keep clean and so Oceanpaw could afford to skip her daily grooming routine so that her and Aspenleaf could head out to sunningrocks as soon as possible.

“Alright then lets go.” Aspenleaf said. She lead Oceanpaw to the Sunningrocks and laid down motioning with her tail for Oceanpaw to do the same.”Smell that?Thats what Thunderclan smells like.”She said enjoying the hot sun on her flank.”Do you understand why Thunderclan wants Sunningrocks so bad?”Aspenleaf asked her.”Do you want to learn to swim now?”

Perking up, she stopped licking the paw that had been held to her mouth, placing it down as she watched a fellow warrior appear from the den. From his scanning of the clearing, the tom seemed to be looking for someone to talk to. While she wasn't the most extroverted of cats, she was always looking for someone to connect with, so hesitantly she called out to the feline. "Hey, over there! Don't leave just yet," her voice came out hurried when she noticed him padding over to the camp exit. She paused for a few heartbeats to gather up more courage- speaking to others, especially calling out across the clearing, worsened her anxieties. "Care to join me?"

Wolfheart froze at the sound of a cats voice. He turned around to see who had called his name. It was a molly, and he recognized her, he believed her name was Willowsky. The tom feeling rather embarrassed about her calling to him padded over to the molly. "I guess so..." He said, and then added ruder than he had expected. "I was planning on hunting." The tom realized the rude note in his voice but he didn't look at the molly to see her reaction. The gray tom wasn't in a bad mood, but the calling across camp "hey you there" had embarrassed him so he wasn't exactly feeling nice about the molly, even though she seemed nice enough. Wolfheart was a grumpy cat all in all.

Willowsky blinked, taken aback by the tom's tone. There was no need for Wolfheart to be so rude to her. Well then, run off and do your hunting. I wouldn't want to bother such a 'lovely' tom anyways, she thought bitterly, tail swishing behind her. She was never one to be rude to others, however, and when someone hurt her she wasn't likely to come out and say something about it. Instead, she kept her gaze out on the clearing, refusing to meet the tom's gaze. If he took a good look at her, it'd be easy to see she was angered and frustrated, but she'd deny it if asked. "It would be a lovely day for hunting, if a bit hot," the molly commented, her tone different from her original greeting- more icy and brisk, as she was no longer feeling friendly after Wolfheart's rudeness.

Wolfheart could hear the iciness in her voice and his tail dropped slightly. He knew it was his fault that she was acting that way, no cat was happy when he grumped like that. To be fair... The toms thoughts trailed off when he realized that there was nothing that made it okay for him to be that rude. He frowned, trying to think of what to say. Finally he turned to face her. "Look I'm sorry," Wolfheart said, "My names Wolfheart, what's yours?" He knew with some cats an apology just wasn't enough and he looked at her bracing himself for things she might say. Things like 'why would I tell you my name' or 'sorry doesn't change anything'. The tom was used to cats saying that, it lost him many potential friends.

Willowsky didn't say anything right away, turning to give the tom a good look. He did seem genuine in his apology. Done with her assessment, her eyes slid back to the clearing; it was awkward to her, staring at someone for too long, so her eyes often found something else to concentrate on during a conversation. "Willowsky," she answered, shaking off her coldness. She hadn't said anything in regards to his apology, though she was accepting it. That didn't mean she liked him, however, as he'd need to do more than just apologize for her to think of him as a good cat. After several heartbeats of grasping for a conversation starter, the molly finally settled on one. "How'd you get your name?" She asked, glancing at the tom briefly. "Like, what does it mean in regards to you?"

Re: RiverClan Clearing
The camp was bustling with activity by the time Firehawk returned, and he stayed to the sidelines as other warriors passed them, going on their own patrols with their apprentices and companions.
Oblivious to the stranger in their wake, although Firehawk wouldn't be the one to point it out.
He glanced behind him to see if his brother had followed. "This is the camp," he said, though he already figured Mud deducted that. "Almost every rank in the Clan has a den to go along with it." He beckoned toward the various holes throughout the camp, from the former fox den that housed the nursery to the hollow log that sheltered the elders'.
"It certainly keeps things from being too packed! We have to extend the warriors' den almost daily due to all the growing cats. It's amazing how we've flourished over the seasons. When I first joined, we were a quarter of this size, if that."
Firehawk's gaze swept over the clearing. "Do you have anything you'd like to know...? We can look around if you want."
