It was like StarClan was punishing her. Did they take the wrong kit?! Did they really want her instead of Freekit? Honestly the young molly didn't know but she did know- or believed -that all this was StarClans fault on top her own.
Taking a deep breath Minkpaw pushed out into the forest soaking up the forests smells. Then noticing the dark furred tom who was way larger then her which was expected since she's not even been an apprentice for a moon but still. "Am I late?" She asked blinking her blue green eyes. She wanted to sound normal, though she didn't want to anger Flintspirit on their first real meeting either. I hope this doesn't end badly.

Flintspirit was normally very aware of lost of his surroundings. But he got so caught up in looking at the forest around him that he jumped when he heard a voice beside him. His fur fluffed up and he was now standing on all four paws after having jumped, his big green eyes wide and blinking as he took in the cat who’d talked. Upon seeing a very small brown she-cat. Flintspirit stood straight, trying to compose himself. “Uh. Hi Minkpaw.” He meowed, clearing his throat as to try and make himself sounds composed. “You’re not late at all. Perfectly on time.” He flicked his tail, taking in the young feline a bit more than he had when he’d briefly spoken to her. She looked young, probably only seven moons or less. I’ll probably have to teach her from the start then. He gave the young she-cat the most genuine smile he could, “care to quickly tell me what you’ve learned so far?” His meow was stronger than it had been right after his moment of surprise, which he was grateful for. He didn’t want Minkpaw to view him as some scardey cat that had a jumpscare any time any cat approached him. Because, in fact, he wasn’t scared of anything. Except for getting close to others. I’m afraid I’ll hurt them, like everyone else. Flintspirit shook his own doubts out of his head. Now was not a time for that. He needed to focus on training Minkpaw, and hopefully, he would be able to do it right this time. He was determined to see Passionstar give her her warrior name. And he would be there, watching as the clan called her name. He would make sure of it.

Minkpaw was a bit shocked to see the large fluffy tom jump and fluff up. Stunned she stepped back but attempted to keep her posture good. She didn't want to offend him by being a bit shocked for surprising him. It was just unusual for a warrior to get scared. Maybe he just has a lot on his mind. The apprentice decided. At his greeting the brownish molly dipped her head briefly but she lifted her head as he told her she was on time. That was good. It was good to be reassured like that even if she wasn't to wotried, she didn't want to feel like an outsider around her New mentor. She didn't around Coldheart and she was hoping that Flintspirit would be a cat she'd be able to talk with without feeling like she had to hide her true emotions. If that was possible. At the dark colored tom's question she thought a second before ducking her head. "I don't know much." She admitted trying to get all her training lessons on her mind at once. There wasn't much to gather. "Uh I can do a hunter's crouch and I know how to tell an old scent from a new one." Minkpaw added looking up with her blue green eyes. It felt like an accomplishment to her but when she thought about it it wasn't much. "Oh I also saw our borders, but some older apprentices said that we no longer share one with RiverClan because the other Clans ran them off. The molly added thinking back to the stories of the big battle that happened not to long ago. It sounded bad, who could run another Clan from their home? It was just dreadful to think about.

The brown furred molly looked up at the sky, seeing the countless branches and leaves with the sun filtering through them, creating dappled sun spots along the forest floor. the light hit her face pleasantly, causing her fur to glow almost halo like, in a beautiful way. though she didnt think how pretty she looked right then, because she look gorgeous all the time anyway. despite spending most if her time napping, no one could tell, even if they asked shed claim she was “busy”. though her friend were busy, so she Fuzzrush sat out here in the territory peacefully, ears flicking whenever she heard a mouse run by or the leave shake in the wind. she had so much stuff to do but... all of that could wait right now.

(Omg she's already sassy and cocky in her head)

(Here comes the dork)

It was harder than he’d thought. Flintspirit didn’t understand. Training Minkpaw, organizing patrols, speaking with Passionstar, it was piling up on Flintspirit. Now he understood why some of the deputies seemed kind of stressed out all of the time. But Flintspirit was juggling all of his duties pretty well. He’d never woken up late so far, never missed an important talk with Passionstar, and he was making sure tovtrain Minkpaw to the best of his ability. Those were not the things that were bothering him at all. What was bothering him was his constant, gut-wrenching fear of letting others get to close. He’d recently talked with a tomcat, Rowanflame, and Flintspirit felt as if he’d let himself get a little bit too comfortable. ”You’re cursed you piece of loner dung. Cursed you hear me!? You could never make any clan proud. Never.” The dark-furred tomcat shook the words of his former mentor away. She was not relevant now.
And he was starting to think she was wrong. Deep down, he knew she was wrong, she had just been a delirious, heart-broken cat. But that still didn’t explain why every cat important to him had died. “You still have Glisteningcry and Nightpaw.” He mumbled to himself, smiling at the thought of the two strong she-cats. The two most important cats in his life.

Shaking his head, Flintspirit pushed away his thoughts. Right now, he was focused on getting a peaceful walk through the forest. He needed some time to clear his head. Flintspirit wasn’t afraid to take some time for himself. The clan had multiple string warriors. They weren’t going to go into mass panic if their deputy disappeared for an hour or two. I’d feel wayyyyy to important if they did. He thought, letting out a small snort of amusement to himself. As he rounded a bend on his leisurely walk, his eyes caught sight of another cat, bathing in the sunlight. He quickly identified her as Thunderclan, which he was grateful for. He didn’t feel like fighting off any cat right now. The battle against Shadowclan, Windclan, and Skyclan still haunted his mind.
Flintspirit paused for a moment, wondering if he should just leave, or go and talk to the she-cat. His playful instincts took over, making the decision easy for him. A smirk played on his features as he walked up to the feline, taking a look at her from the front. “Excuse me, but you’re kind of in my spot. I don’t think you happen to know, but this particular spot of sunlight is for the deputy to bathe in.” An amused glint was in his bright green eyes as he awaited for her to answer. He enjoyed messing around with cats, and though he didn’t know this she-cat particularly, he hoped that she would be fun to mess with. It always put Flintspirit in a good mood.

The brown molly looked up as the dappled light struck her face she whipped her head around at the tom’s voice she could hear the playful notes and she knew it was her deputy but she stayed put at his words, hey nobody tells Fuzzrush what to do She thought, her amber gaze met his as she paused for moment. A wide smile crossed her muzzle. There was no chance of her leaving her patch of light but also, there was a high chance she wanted to play. The molly flicked her long tail back and forth waiting for an idea for what to say the the Tom she looked back away still smiling.
“And I think,” she paused, she flicked her ears “This spot is for the most beautiful cat in the forest!” she said gesturing her brown tail at herself chuckling, and turning her head back to Flintspirt.

He knew his mother had had difficulties controlling him as a kit, though he never got dirty. If he had, it would’ve been easy to clean him, his short pelt was no where near as fluffy as Passionstar’s. And there was also the fact that Jaggedpaw hates a dirty pelt. It was not good for his outside appearance plus, it just made him feel dirty. At the mention of a partner in crime, Jaggedpaw’s tail flicked. A partner in crime? He knew Passionstar had his adopted brother Powdernose, but he never thought the gentle tomcat would get into trouble like that. ”Powdernose was the same way?” He meowed in surprise. But his thoughts wandered at the same time. Maybe that’s what he needed. A partner in crime. He was born an only kit, and his only family he knew was his mother and his half-brother. His mother would scold him for being the way he was, and he’d met his older half-Brother before, and he was a loyal, obedient warrior of Thunderclan. Jaggedpaw knew he’d never like to get into mischief with him. Guess I better find myself a partner in crime... There were plenty of apprentices to choose from, right?

Completely over his previous breakdown, Jaggedpaw had recomposed himself, his head high and tail gently waving once again, his usual demeanor when he was feeling “normal”. He rolled his eyes as Passionstar called him “kit”, but kept his mouth shut, genuinely curious as to where this was going. He’s probably going to make me recite a poem or something... sounds like him. As Passionstar instructed him on the rules of what they were about to do, his eyes widened. That was not him. He didn’t complain about things. He gave aggressive suggestions. Yes Passionstar. There was a difference. “Yep. Got it. Totally...” He meowed, his nose twitching as he meowed the words. Agreement. He didn’t like where this was going. He’d just agreed to something that sounded stupid. As the leaves were placed in front of him, and he heard his mentor’s words, Jaggedpaw glanced up at the leader with a “you’ve got to be kidding me” look.
Oh no. No no no no no. Jaggedpaw wouldn’t do this. His mentor was toying with him. He’d broken down in front of the tom, and this is what he got? Fine. If you want to play a game. I’ll play. I’m good at games. He directed his gaze down to the leaves, which were both crispy and orange. Though one had some parts of it that were ripped. He pretended to study them very hard. “Hmm... well, one is orange, and big, and looks perfect and pretty, but it extra crispy. Which means that when you step on it, it’s going to break under the pressure.” He slammed his paw down on the leaf, hearing the satisfied crunch and giving Passionstar a smirk. “And the other one, well, it’s imperfect and smaller, but it’s already had it’s hard times. So it stronger when you step on it, and won’t break.” He demonstrated once again, stepping on the other leaf, which, didn’t break. His eyes were on Passionstar, a malicious mischief shining in their lime green depths.
Passionstar wheezed. Most certainly Powdernose was not the same way. Passionstar loved his adopted brother, but they differed so much that sometimes they bickered and bantered to an extreme. Powdernose was always the one who wanted out, who reminded them of their consequences, but Passionstar never listened. Looking back at the memories was beautiful, and made him laugh. ''Bleh, I wish! Powdernose definitely wasn't the same way. He used to get us in trouble all the time. Or, he'd be a total buzzkill.'' The leader rolled his eyes, a blow of air escaping his mouth as he snorted. Passionstar wasn't giving Powdernose enough credit, honestly. There were more than plenty times where Passionstar almost got them all killed. At times, as a kit, Passionstar wondered what it would be like to be killed. Thinking as a kit that he rather die than receive a lecture from his parents. To him, that was the scariest thing: lectures from parents. Ironic. Now, he's the one that enjoy giving them. That look coming from the diabolical mastermind, Passionstar found it amusing. He couldn't help but call out Jaggedpaw on it, swishing his tail to hit the side of Jaggedpaw's flank. ''That don't mean you go looking for trouble. I got my eye on you, kit.'' Passionstar said firmly, a hint of playfulness as he pointed his tail from his eyes towards Jaggedpaw's eyes.

The funny thing about this situation was that Passionstar should had been expecting it. Oh, wasn't Jaggedpaw such a joy? Passionstar watched on though, trying to keep a straight face. Training was supposed to be a serious moment, teaching a young soul, but apprentices like Jaggedpaw needed to be taught moral lessons because quite frankly, Passionstar did not believe that the tabby had any. Passionstar observed his apprentice, hearing him speak, his ears twitching. He wasn't expecting Jaggedpaw to demonstrate such by breaking the leaves. Jaggedpaw earned a grunt from the leader. ''I don't think you were meticulous enough.'' Passionstar stated, his own paw had gently pat at the broken leaf caused by Jaggedpaw. ''I never told you to break the leaves. I said study them. I want to know every little detail.'' Passionstar own gaze held some mysterious aura. The moons training Jaggedpaw, he probably already knew every trick in the book. Toms like Jaggedpaw made Passionstar patient. Jaggedpaw was like training a mischievous kit, and probably the closest thing Passionstar deemed to a son. ''Since you crushed this beautiful leaf, that nature obviously still needed around. Who is you exactly to murder something that is apart of nature? That leaf had so much potential to live, and you cut its life so short.'' Passionstar reprimanded Jaggedpaw for what he done at first, before he added, ''Now, go fetch another leaf, and study them, Jaggedpaw....unless you prefer to study the ticks in elders' fur.'' Jaggedpaw already knew Passionstar would make him. All day, if he had to. It was a form of tough love. These lessons played well for learning the virtue of patience. Also, Passionstar wanted to test Jaggedpaw's senses. See if he can study, yet still pay certain attention to his surroundings. It was an excellent technique used in battle. Always know every surroundings, despite all disturbances; know your surroundings.

The deputy appreciated that Minkpaw didn’t comment on his dead leap into the air. His eartips were still pink with embarrassment from the action, and there was a noticable pink surrounding his nose, though it was starting to fade as he was reaching his dignity. Not like you have any Flint. He again laughed to himself at his own thoughts. He found himself absolutely funny. But you’ve really got to stop this talking to yourself. You’re not a lonely nerd Flint. You’re outgoing and cool, and— The warrior cut off his thoughts, rolling his eyes internally. He knew how much of a dork he could be sometimes.
As she answered his question, Flintspirit nodded reassuringly, giving her a supportive smile. He was actually kind of glad she hadn’t learned much, he would have had no idea where to start otherwise. He needed to start from the beginning and build his way up, just like how his mentor had thought him. While he hadn’t liked Darkenedheart at all, he couldn’t deny she had been a skilled warrior, and had molded him into an amazing warrior himself. Along with extra training from Rockspirit, Flint was a force not to be reckoned with when it came to battling. He was a pretty excellent hunter though. Except when it came to trees. Flintspirit hated trees. His fur got all tangled and caught in the twigs, and eyes ended up looking more like a tree than a cat whenever he had finished tree training. Definitley saving that for later. Minkpaw doesn’t need to see how much of a weirdo her mentor is. As she stated what she knew, Flintspirit nodded, before his ears flattened instinctively to his head at the mention of no longer sharing a border with Riverclan. “That is true.” He meowed, trying to keep his tone as even as possible as to not scare the young she-cat. Flintspirit knew he could be scary when he got angry. His fight with Buttercupbreeze had further proven that. “But it’s only temporary. Passionstar is upset about the whole situation, and I’m positive that he’s planning on doing something about it. And of course I’ll support him in his decisions on this subject.” Flintpsirit’s voice was bold and determined as he turned his fierce green gaze towards Minkpaw, before he swished his tail and raised his ears. It was time to get started in training. “Anyways, that’s beside the point right now. Me and you...” He have the small she-cat a playful smirk, “should be focused on training for now. I’ve got other duties as well, but I’m going to make sure we get a good amount of training in.” The dark-furred tomcat then waved his tail towards Minkpaw, beckoning her to follow him as he started to pad deeper into the territory. “We’re going to start with some more hunting practice, so we need to get away from camp.”

The dark-furred tomcat’s smirk deepened at her response. He knew full well she was talking about herself, but he of course had to play along. It wouldn’t be right if he didn’t. “Awww you really think i’m the most beautiful cat in the forest? I’m flattered! Don’t get compliments like that everyday.” He purred, winking one of his bright green eyes.
As he further studied the brown tabby feline, he recognized her as Fuzzrush. He’d never talked to her, but he knew full well of her sassy attitude. How could he not miss an attitude as bold and bright as hers? A personality like that stood out. Just like mine.

[I]Definitley saving that for later. Minkpaw doesn’t need

She chuckled and moved over a tad her brown fur now covered in dust. She grunted, annoyed that her beautiful coat was now laden with dust. She patted her tail in the patch of sunlight she had left open. She looked back up as the dappled sunlight hit her muzzle. She squinted her amber eyes, as she looked down at her fur that had been covered with dust, “It takes moons to get it like this!” she huffed before looking back at the black furred Tom. “hm I suppose I could make some room for the deputy, second best looking at most.” she added with a chuckle. She looked at the empty patch of light with a smile.
