Lyssa felt a bit.. useless. She wasn't really helping look for Kaia at all. Blake was the brains, Jay was motivated... and here was Lyssa, complaining every step of the way even though she was the one who'd 'signed up' for this. Lyssa saw the small indents in the ground, presumably Kaia's footsteps, and it made her a bit sadder. She was missing everything. Apparently, she was only good in the battlefield. Lyssa shook her head so no one could tell anything was wrong, and continued following the child of Hades and the child of Athena.

She'd made a habit of studying other people's footsteps; it was all she heard, with everyone walking away from her and such. He thought he was starting to get the hang of it when he heard a loud crack somewhere nearby. He flinched and stood bolt upright, looking around warily. Okay, it was just a twig breaking... Probably just an animal. Or Kaia? No, she never makes noise when she's moving... Animal, animal, please be an animal. "You guys heard that too, right?" he asked quietly, just to be sure he wasn't going mad with worry.

"I'd hoped it was just my imagination, but if you heard it, then I guess I'm not delusional. Yep, I heard it alright. Lyssa was still a bit sad at how she was feeling unhelpful, but she listened for any other noises. What was that? I've never heard Kaia make a sound when she moved around.. was it an animal? A monster? Another demigod? Or maybe it was just one of us stepping on a twig..

Jay was really starting to regret not going back for his bow. It wouldn't really matter how long he took to find Kaia if he died before he even could. "Be careful," he called after Blake, then looked down at the footprints again. They didn't look like they went in the direction of the noise, but Kaia could've always doubled back, right? Or it was just an animal. He was really hoping for an animal.

To be called pretty by someone who has beauty that was probably most equivalent to a goddess made the girl smile. Though she frowned slightly as she was told they didn’t know. “However, once it happens, I’m sure it will be an experience you’ll never forget,” Ethan added, while made Charlie smile for a moment, though it was in a wistful way. Her mind was telling her that she might never get claimed, she wanted to ask a different question to lighten the mood. “Could you list all the gods I could be claimed by?” she asked in a small voice, tilting her head.

Blake kept walking, and found himself under a canopy of trees with no light source at all. He quickly backed out, telling Jay and Lyssa what he had seen.

Lyssa made a soft groaning noise. "You know, I'm really hoping that's an animal and not something else. Though I could take it if it was something else," she said, holding up her battle axe as if it was as light as a feather. She was starting to wonder why the... thing had made it's presence known. Did it want them to know it was there, or was it a pure accident?

Juno tilted her head, but nevertheless replied with a smile. "Of course!" Juno thought for a second, then began. "There's the Big Three, like Zeus or Poseidon. And then there's Aphrodite, which is this cabin. There's Ares, Hermes, Demeter, Athena, Eros, Psyche, Hypnos, Hephaestus, and Artemis. They're all pretty cool, though Hermes is the god of thieves." Juno wasn't sure what to say next, so she decided to simply let Charlie continue the conversation. She smiled at Ethan and Charlie in a friendly manner.

"If it's something else, I'm starting to think I should just set a zombie on it," Jay muttered, crossing his arms and glaring off into the darkness. He was only half serious; sure, he probably could summon something - he was running on enough adrenaline - but it'd be pretty taxing. He didn't wanna be passed out for another two days, not when his sister was missing. Okay, so he wasn't serious. But still, this whole thing was setting him on edge.
