Surprised to be greeted with another voice, Squirrelkit turned to see who this anonymous cat was. A ginger and white tom was sat beside her, one that she recognized around the nursery before, but never had any interest in speaking to. His question was sweet enough for her to respond, though she turned her gaze back on the plant as she replied. “Yes, this is one of them.” Squirrelkit sniffed gently at the little green sprout, smiling. “This is my smallest friend, actually. I like to pay extra attention to her, since some of the kits can be rough when they play.” She finally sat up properly, curling her feathery tail over her paws. The orange kitten finally gave a smile at Daffofilkit, dark eyes glittering. “I’m sorry if I woke you.” Her voice was soft and low, still taking caution to the other sleeping cats of the nursery. “May I know your name?” Squirrelkit tilted her head with interest. It was rare of her to socialize with the other kits, in fact it was something her mother nagged her about on the daily. ‘You should make more friends, real friends.’ or ‘Maybe you should play with your siblings more.’. Squirrelkit always shrugged these questions off, never intrigued in any of the games that went on in the nursery. They were all too rowdy for her. She’d much rather sit with her plants and rant about the weather. That was something she always liked about plants - they always listened, but cats had a tendency to get bored. She had a tendency to get bored. Perhaps he’ll get bored of me, too. Squirrelkit thought, not negatively, but simply out of conjecture.

“I’m Squirrelkit, by the by.” She quietly added as her gaze drifted back onto the sprout in the corner.

For a moment his gaze would remain on her as hers returned to the plant before he too would focus his attention back on it, while listening to her answer. A soft smile would touch his muzzle as the young she-cat would explain that this was her smallest friend and that this little plant would get paid extra attention to. "I can ask some of the kits around to be careful about her, I know they get kind of excited." Cautiously he too would lean forward and give the sprout a small, delicate sniff before he looked back at Squirrelkit. "You're okay, I like to be awake with the first cat anyways, so that they're not alone." Daffodilkit would turn his head and look around the still sleeping nursery, his smile remaining on his features. He genuinely liked other cats, even if they weren't the nicest to him or others, and he was even more supportive of the ones that he considered friends, though he had quite few right now. "Oh, I'm Daffodilkit!" Purred out the kit in a cheerful manner, dipping his head slightly to the feathery she-cat, ears perking up as he heard her name.
"It's nice to meet you Squirrelkit! Maybe I can show you my bug friend Smidge some time! Since I got to meet one of your friends. Does she have a name?" Motioning politely at the sprout, as if it were another intelligible being, he would tilt his head just slightly with curiosity.

Featherheart shrugged "You don't have to have a decent conversation with me. I'm a socially awkward cat who if you talk to might not have much to say" He'd mew with a sigh.

She purred,” In the end aren’t we all socially awkward?” She asked in a teasing voice,” What is normal anyways.” She replied. That was her opinion honestly, she knew some might disagree with her, but others would agree. That was there right, anyways. She wasn’t going to judge them anyways.

"Some of us..It might take a while..and others it doesn't start until the day they die"He mewed with a serious face. Featherheart sometimes gets out of hand serious and goes into details that can scare people, and that was what was happening right now.

She was a little concerned about what he said, but shook it off. She purred,” Normal doesn’t exist. It’s just that a lot of cats are socially awkward in the same way.” She replied hoping he’d get her bad joke.

"Normal has never existed"He'd simply say. "Were all different. The only normal is being a warrior, apprentice, or a kit." He'd shrug. "It's kinda sad because when you die your the same and you never change..You're the same warrior, same apprentice, same kit, same leader, and so on." He started to go off the rails again with talking and was becoming serious again.

Featherheart giggled slightly."Kittypets really aren't normal"He'd mew "They eat kittypet food and have collars it's just too weird for me!"He'd shriek. "Same with loners and rogues they don't follow a code and they might have collars or something like that"His fur spiked up just thinking about it.
