He gave a huff, trying to sound stern, but he was nervous and scared. "Small? That's a load of mouse-droppings and you know it." He sniffed her side. "Need cobwebs for that?" He asked her.

Kiwipaw gave a puff of painful laughter, and smiled at the tom. "Watch your mouth, Mr!" She mewed, letting out another breath of laughter. " But sure, why not some cobwebs? I can help you find some" She offered, attempting to stand up, the hash in her side opening up farther as she did so.

"No, no, no." He mewed, gently pushing her back down. "Stay here, I'll go." He turned around, bolting into the woods. Finding cobwebs rather quickly, he wove a bunch over one paw so it looked like a white beehive. He rushed back over to her, placing them delicately into her gash. Stepping back, he gave a satisfied nod. "Now, Ms.Needs-To-Bounce," He mewed, with a huff of laughter. "Uou need to rest. No over excurtion, got it? Or are your ears too stuffed?"

Kiwipaw grunted. She hated feeling useless. Especially now, when she was hurt and could die, and she could do nothing except lay there and look at the sky. Relax? Nah. As Cascadepaw returned with the cobwebs the pain began to ease. "Nice nickname, Mr. Doc, I'll follow doctors orders and make myself comfortable" She teased. "How did you know I was here?" She asked him.

"Well, we agreed on hunting. You left before me, so I just followed your scent." He explained. "Glad I got here when I did, huh?"

Kiwipaw nodded. "I guess I was lucky that you arrived. At least the badger for away be for it could hurt anybody else." She replied. " Can I stand up now? " She whined, eager to get moving again.

He snorted in laughter at her impatience. "Of course you lousy-paws!" He gave her a nudge, playful, yet more. He gave her a tap, then scrapped his paw across the ground, flicking snow at her. He purred, dancing backmand forth on his paws, still flicking snow, and eyes glinting mischieviously.

Kiwipaw smiled at him slyly and nudged him back. "Call me a lousypaws? Take that!" She mewed energetically , picking up a handful of snow with her paws, and throwing it at Cascadepaw. She bounced around, and the pain of her gash seemed to magically disappear.

Windystar has settled into the leader’s den, unused to being by himself. He didn’t realize that his sleep relied so heavily on the snores and idle chatter of other cats. Now, it was dead silence. Nothing in the den but him. He didn’t like it. It was too quiet. He could hear himself think. And it was LOUD. A lot of mmm we’re leader now, aaaAAAAH. He barely slept the first few nights. He needed company.

That’s why he had asked Milkweed to meet him here.

He wanted to talk with the feline about what had happened. They hadn’t talked in awhile, and their last conversation was very heartfelt. He overall appreciated the cat’s company. He needed to talk to someone before he lost his mind.
