"Youre correct, but its extremely stale." She said walking over to it. "Because we train here so often, the rabbits learned not to stay here anymore." She purred. "Can you tell me what cat has been here recently?"

Icy morning light shined down on the three legged ton as he pushed himself out into the clearing. Leaf bare was cold. Almost tripping over his own tail the patchy warrior managed to get in the center of the clearing but he didn't know what to do. Newpaw sniffed the air again, trying despratley to impress her mentor. But to no avail- she couldn't tell. She shook her head, frustrated. She suddenly wished that she had hung around the senior warriors and other clanmates. Then she might actually have memorized their scents. She sighed softly and shook her head, feeling a bit sheepish.

Rowanpaw felt a rush of excitement when he reached the training moor. His ginger tabby belt bristled with anticipation for his very first training session. His paws thumped on the earth as he ran around, stretching his long limbs, he was tall for his age and was sick of being kept in camp. The ground was harder than usual, the frost left it's icy coating on all the stems of the long grass.
"What shall we do first? Fighting, hunting, tracking?" The apprentice mewed in excitement to his mentor.

Newpaw, now feeling a bit more reassured, padded after her wise mentor. She couldn't help noticing a strange scent. It didn't smell very good, she decided. In fact, she wasn't sure that she liked it at all. It seemed to overpower the sweet scent of the moor, a scent that, to her, had come to mean freedom. She hurried her pace just a bit, so that she was standing closer to her mentor. She felt safer when she was near the senior warrior.

"Take a deep breath, Newpaw." She meowed softly as she paused and sat down. "This is the thunderclan border. Never should you cross." She said, feeling a bit hypocritical. She crossed the borders all the time on accident.

Newpaw did just that. "Ugh," she commented, "they smell funny." Before her mentr even had the chance to speak again, she asked, "How do they stand it in there? There is no room to move around!"
