he laughed in her head a bit, realising how protective he was of the flowers. Soon the den was in sight.

Spikes was starting to sweat with the effort of moving the giant buck, and signed in relief as he caught right of the den, but he moved away from the first den, heading towards the nursery, thinking in his head of how he would tell the young'uns of his and Rio's take down of the giant buck.

They will do as they always do. Ask questions and awe at the giant male buck. They will see me as their hero, and I will tell them of how I will always be there to protect them. Spikes thought, ignoring his surroundings, thinking only of how he would inspire and impress the pups.

Spikes ignored her signal to eat. I really don't care if I go hungry, but the pups must eat first. Then the old wolves, I guess. But the pups first. He lay by the meal, calling to the pups with a playful yip.

Spikes frowned at her words, about to talk back, but he shut his mouth and turned to the nursery, a happy smile reversing his mood and brightening his face. He let out a playful growl before dragging the pups out into the sunlight.
