Re: RiverClan Territory
Lionsnow stood outside the apprentice den. "Peachpaw?" He called out. "You up for some fishing today?" He asked

The only noise heard was the chatting of other apprentices. But soon after a Surprisingly content looking Peachpaw walked out. His mind was mostly set on the Skyclan tom he met yesterday, his head snapping back to Lionsnow. He nodded.

Mintflower trudged through the Riverclan territory, paws soggy from the ever-damp soil beneath her - she'd come to love the cool sensation it brought, but still heavily despised the mess it made of her pelt. The pale she-cat was determined to make use of herself, deciding an early morning patrol was the best way to go about her warrior duties. The sun was low on the horizon, peaking just above the treetops as though it were shy and timid, the sky dotted with an array of sensational colours. Pinks, oranges, yellows all filled the sky and made Mintflower feel a little more fulfilled by her choices. She was not far from the territory's edge, having been walking for a while now, when she came to a sudden stop. Her icy gaze had glanced over a small colony of wildflowers, hidden in amongst the thick foliage around them. They were mostly yellow, a few white ones dotted in here and there, and Mintflower quickly found herself staring at them. She must have looked like a kit, captivated by the new-leaf flowers. But although it was only a small joy in her life, she would die before she allowed maturity to rid her of her love of flowers. But alas, the small she-cat could not remain there forever and forced herself to continue walking, her pace slightly faster than before. She wondered if anyone else was coming on the patrol, having not really planned it beforehand - with no deputy, Riverclan was at a bit of a loss when it came to planning patrols, hunting parties, etc. She felt sorry for Fallenstar having to do it all alone, but she knew him to be a strong leader - he would not fall short of perfection when it came to his clan. Going alone made no difference to the molly, but a small part of her had wished she had some company. She'd lost friends in the peacemaker war, and had felt lonelier than ever these past moons. Sighing, she halted at the territory's edge, tasting the air around her for any unusual scents.

Frostflight's breath clung to the thick morning air, descending above his head and dissipating as it reached towards the colorful sky. There was nothing quite like a morning like this to put him in a good mood, something that had been frequently sought after by the young warrior. Inhaling deeply, Frostflight continued his brisk run towards the border taking care that he didn't get side tracked. He had been assigned to the morning patrol and, clearly, it had set off without him... well, he thought. He had seen Mintflower at least leaving camp and, if he remembered correctly, she was the other portion of the patrol. Hopefully she wouldn't be angry with him for being late. She didn't seem like the type of cat that would be, but regardless he had slept in and that at least deserved a disappointing gaze or something! Each paw step squished and squelched underneath him as he picked his way quickly through the swampy territory, every so often stopping to taste the most recent scent just to make sure he was on the right path. Once he determined correctly, he would continue parallel with the border, though occasionally his icy gaze would rise to admire the now yellowing sky. As he scaled over top the crest of a hill, the warrior caught sight of Mintflower just up ahead. With no moment of hesitation, Frostflight rushed down the hill, his voice echoing through the silent - and no longer peaceful - territory. "I'm here!" The silver tom yowled, skidding to a stop beside the fellow warrior, his claws sinking into the marsh for extra grip. With a few puffs of breath, Frostflight would turn his gaze up to meet Mintflower's. "I'm here, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to wake up so late." His eyes flashed with guilt as he apologized, hoping she would understand. But now that it was out of the way, it was time to get to patrolling! "Have you noticed anything?" His voice was quite breathy as he continued to control his breathing, though the tom immediately squared up, ears perked forward and eyes scanning the border line for anything suspicious.

Re: RiverClan Territory

Mintflower had been thinking quietly to herself, feeling as though she was forgetting something but she simply could not put her paw on what it was. What in Starclan's stupid name have I forgotten?! As if Starclan themselves had answered, a loud voice bellowed through the forest and Mintflower didn't have to turn to know who it was. Frostflight. She had forgotten her patrol partner. "I am so sorry-" The smaller she-cat began, before she was cut off by Frostflight's own apology - his words only adding to her guilt. She was dumbfounded for a moment, words stuck at an invisible block between her mind and her mouth - the usually articulate feline feeling as though a sudden wave of embarrassment was crawling along her skin. Once he had finished, she finally tried to get her apology in, but once more the tom spoke up; had her guilt not been as large as it was, she would have told him to be quiet, but she argued it wouldn't make him or her feel any better. She waited as patiently as she could, eyes lowered to the ground as she tried to force the heat to disappear from her cheeks. "I- No, I haven't noticed anything," She answered his question first, but quickly spoke up again to avoid having Frostflight start talking once more, "And it's not your fault, I left too early; I should be the one saying sorry. So- Um, sorry?" She gazed up at him hesitantly, but forced herself to regain her posture. She puffed out her chest as a kit would, and tried her best to stand tall, but alas, next to Frostflight she remained as small as ever. She pouted, eying the tomcat up for a moment before marching past him, gesturing for him to keep up. "For someone almost twice my height you're not all that fast," She challenged, hoping to make up for her aforementioned mistake with a little playfulness. She hadn't been her playful self this past moon, but she was beginning to realise if she wanted to regain her sense of enjoyment she'd have to start with making the effort.

The scent led them both to a bush, small rustling noises coming from it. The small tail of A mouse poked out. "I want you to try," He whispered. "Crouch down, and stalk forward. Make sure to put all your weight on your haunches, since a mouse will be able to hear you walking. When you get your paw on it, make sure it's dead and not pretending." Oak explained, hoping it wasn't too much to take in.

spiderpaw nodded, taking the instructions in and rehearsing them mentally. she stared intensely at the mouse's tail, crouching down low. the apprentice quickly remembered to put her weight into her haunches fully. she stalked forward, keeping her gaze on her prey. spiderpaw pounced on it, putting her paw on it and making sure it was dead. "faker," she muttered before killing it cleanly. another mouse rustled the bushes in the distance, but spiderpaw was all too proud of her first catch to mind. "are you proud?" she inquired of her mentor, looking up at oakflame questioningly. "i got it on my first try! youre a good mentor," she exclaimed, smiling contently. the female poked at the mouse, trying to figure out what cats do with fresh-kill before theyre able to put it in the pile. "what do i do with this, for now?" the apprentice asked oakflame, her tail sweeping the floor around the deceased mouse.

"Yes. you did" She still sounded dry, but hopefully he would realise she just talked like that. He seemed to be fine with it before, but what if he disliked her if she did it again? She shook herself a bit. Focus, she thought. "So. You like bugs?"

"indeed i do, your honor," honeyswirl responded, a twinkle of playfulness in his glowing orbs. her tone of voice seemed a bit dry, but honeyswirl did not mind in the slightest. any conversation would do him good and keep him away from all of nature's distractions. "how about you?" he enquired, knowing that the answer was probably a no, like most cats'. "if not, is there anything else you like that's part of nature?" honeyswirl's whole body turned at a 90-degree angle when he heard a loud rustle, with dark brown, spiky fur sticking out at the side of a withering dark-green bush. "squirrel!" he muttered, quietly but in a celebratory modus operandi. it scattered away at the caw of a jet-black crow about three[3] miles away. "bye bye," he called to the squirrel before kindly turning back to scatteredspiral, waiting for what she had to say. was that rude? turning to see the squirrel? i hope not! this scatteredspiral seems like a nice cat!! asdfghjkl! the warrior thought, his eyes widening as he looked at the opposing female. goodness, why am i so bad at social conversationnnnn, honeyswirl wondered, staring at scatteredspiral in an attempt to understand what she thought of him exactly. it wasnt quite working.

Oakflame let out a purr, nodding his head. "You did great for your first try!" He told, his gaze falling to the mouse at her question. "Well, we can go back to camp and put it in the fresh kill pile. Or, we can bury it,if you want to keep exploring or try some more hunting. Then we'll come back and get it." The tabby tom told.

spiderpaw grinned at oakflame's approval, then nodded. "let's explore," she replied, digging up an appropriately-sized hole for the mouse before nodding in acknowledgement in her mentor's direction. "lead the way, leader," she smiled, tail flickering about aimlessly. the apprentice glanced back at the area where she'd buried the mouse, making sure it hadn't suddenly dug itself out of its grave and made an escape. you can never be too careful, spiderpaw thought, following oakflame.

Oakflame nodded, starting to walk. The tabby made his way deeper into the thickets and trees. His ear flicked hearing a bird squawk loudly before flying away. He scrunched up his nose, his amber gaze falling on Spiderpaw, making sure she was still following. "I think you'll like this part of the territory, for future hunting. Lots of prey thrives here in newleaf and greenleaf."
