"Wow," she mused, "Do you RiverClan cats have a lot of rules?" Fr the record, October wasn't much too good at following rules, though she did enjoy the company of other cats most of the time. If their aren't too many rules, she thought to herself. It might be kinda fun to live with others. After all, she was what one would call a social butterfly.

Clouddash blinked in shock. He always knew twolegs were a bit mousebrain, dangerous but still mousebrain, but he didn't they were that mousebrain. Any cat in their right mind would escape if given a chance like that, "That's... erm cool." He finally mewed not quite over his shock. Clouddash nodded his head, "All the clans have the same set of rules to follow. They're called the warrior code." The gray and white tom answered. Clouddash was always a rule follower. Not to say that he didn't ever want to break the warrior code but he was just too scared of being caught to even entertain the idea of it. The tom shook his head nervously, "Actually I'm breaking the warrior code right now..." He muttered.

October grinned. "It was pretty cool!" she meowed. As he told her about the warrior code, she studied him with her light blue eyes. Actually I'm breaking the warrior code right now... The small orange she-cat's eyes widened. Was he always breaking the rules? He didn't look like a rule-breaker, but she knew that looks deceived sometimes. "Are you gonna get in trouble?" October asked him, curious.

Clouddash shuffled his paws anxiously, "If we're caught then yes..." He mumbled averting his bright blue gaze sadly. He was genuinely enjoying October's company and didn't want their meeting to end yet. However, the thought of Fallenstar finding out made him shudder, If I'm actually caught what if I get kicked out of the clan!? He fretted and began shuffling his paws even more. However, his blue gaze looked over towards the border realzing how close they were to the Windclan border and a small smile formed on his face, "If you take a few steps back I won't be breaking any rules." He told the orange she-cat feeling quite pleased with himself. If she was on the other side of the border then nobody was trespassing!

Clouddash let out a pleased purr as October backed up into Windclan territory, "You're good!" The gray and white tom mewed relaxing significantly now that he wasn't breaking the warrior code, which he found a bit over the top at times but he understood why it was in place, "Now you're on Windclan territory... They're one of the other clans I mentioned." He explained with a friendly flick of his tail.

October gave a skip of excitement; she found this clan cat intriguing. WindClan? Did they have the same rules as RiverClan? "Will I get I get in trouble if a WindClan cat finds me? Do you guys fight a bunch? Why do Clans even have borders anyway?" October's orange tabby tail lashed back and forth at the prospect of discovering such cool information about another way to live. She loved meeting new cats and getting to know them and how they survived.

Clouddash purred as October skipped. He was growing quite fond of the loner, although they hadn't known each other for very long, and could definitely see them becoming good friends. The gray and white tom blinked trying to take in and answer all her questions, "You could depending on the warrior..." He trailed off nervously hoping not to scare her off, "But you're good now I'll warn you if I smell any of them coming!" He mewed hoping to reassure her. He sat down and let his striped tail settle at his paws, "The reason why we have borders is because each clan has so many mouths to feed and if we didn't separate there wouldn't be enough to go around... But even so we try not to argue if not necessary." He said sounding a little thankful because Clouddash loathed fighting.

She trusted him already, to put it simply. Her ease of placing trust and confidence in other cats was partly because she didn’t know any better. Never having come across a cat who was cruel or harmful and growing up in shelter of the lesser of life, she paid little attention to the dangers the world could hold to one as innocent as herself.
October perked her ears as she noticed a slight change in his tone. “Have you ever fought them before?” She breathed, eyes wide. Surely if they preferred to stay away from necessary fights, not many would occur. At least in her mind, that was how it worked.

Clouddash stiffened at her question. Clouddash hated fighting with an extreme passion. When he was an apprentice he'd skip battle practice because he didn't want to hurt anyone or get hurt as well. Although he wasn't a bad fighter he'd end up getting anxious and panicking if he was ever forced to fight. Therefore he'd only fight if there was a very good reason. He shuffled his paws clearly uncomfortable with the question, "Yes... Not Windclan specifically but other cats..." he admitted shuddering at the thought, "I only do it if I see someone in trouble because I absolutely hate fighting." He mewed sounding a bit shaken.

October saw him noticeably stiffen and shuffle his paws at her question. She was about to ask why when he began to speak. Once he had finished, the orange tabby nodded. "Ah, yes," She meowed, a sudden seriousness taking over her tone and expression alike; a vain attempt at maturity. "So you fight to protect others if they need protecting?" That's a nice thing to do. She thought, tail flicking back and forth. However, her mask of maturity didn't last long. Mere seconds later, she burst out with another round of questions. She couldn't contain her curiosity, and made no means to hold back her flow of questions. "Do the other cats try to take your prey? Is that why you fight them? Do you ever share with them? What if I take WindClan prey? Will I get in trouble?"
