The white and ginger tom stared annoyed at the she-cat. "Why would I like to spend time with you? You're the one who came up and started bothering you. When did you ever got the idea that I wanted to spend TIME with you?" his voice was gruff and annoyed. His amusement and smirk was gone to be replaced with no emotion in his amber and blue gaze. His tail twitched slowly, flicking back and forth and he sat up from his sitting position. "You calling yourself pretty, aren't you arrogant enough?" his voice was curious. The annoyance left him as easy as it came from the amusement. It was one of the weird things about Snailriver... the fact that his moods indeed did change so easily - from plain annoyance to curiosity, from anger to amusement - it was confusing. You think you know him and he changes and you don't recognize the cat you just talked to. He padded toward the river looking back at Mintflower. "The water was cold wasn't it?" He plodded into it and swam strongly for a few seconds before heaving himself up again and padded toward the molly. He then flopped directly over her, crushing her to the ground with his drenched coat. "Enjoying this are you?"

Mintflower found it puzzling how quickly Snailriver's emotions changed - she supposed it was the main reason so many cats found him unapproachable. However unlikely, Mintflower was enjoying his company; she was enjoying annoying him, at least. "Arrogant? I am no such thing - aware of my beauty and elegance is a more suitable description," She replied, smirking playfully as she watched him wander over to the river. She watched him swim in it for a few moments and tried to appear unimpressed - she could have swum just as gracefully had he not thrown her in without warning. He was a riverclanner, being able to swim was not great feat. "Not as cold as your heart, I'd reckon," She retracted, eyes turning to slits for only a moment, the pale molly reminding herself to act a bit more ladylike. She wouldn't win him over by reclining down to his level. She watched him suspiciously, yelping in surprise as he made himself rather comfortable on top of her. How dare he! Who does he think he is? "Perhaps I would enjoy this if there weren't prying eyes watching us," She managed to complain, breathlessly, as she nodded in the direction of a few young apprentices watching the two of them with both confusion and amusement.

The white tom cuffed her over the ear with a huge paw. "Since when did you care about modesty?" he asked bringing his muzzle to her ear as he whispered the words. "I also thought I could get you back. I did have to carry you all the way to the river. I think you should repay my generous efforts." The huge tom shifted, it felt quite uncomfortable lying on top of the molly but he needed to show her that she couldn't just do whatever she wanted to him. Her shoulders were digging into his chest and it bothered him as he shifted his position. "Better get started on walking to the river. We don't wanna go to our nests without a full stomach and I am actually looking forward to catch fish if you decide not to be a fish brain." Finally lying comfortable on top of Mintflower he started snoring slightly. This was taking the she-cat way too long to figure out. "Are you seriously so slow? You should be the one with the suffix snail. Mintsnail. It fits."

Mintflower felt her pelt heat up, and prayed to starclan that Snailriver couldn't tell - though, given their very close proximity to one another it was likely inevitable. What was he trying to get her to do? Carry him?! Wait, he's not serious, right? I can't carry him! My stubby legs barely carry me! The she-cat let out an agitated sigh, trying her best to shove the larger cat off. "Oh come on Snail, you can't expect me to carry you! You're twice my size!" She whined, pouting underneath him - she doubted he could see it though, which upset her even more. But Mintflower was not the type of she-cat to give up a challenge; Snailriver would not win. She thought about her options for a moment, ignoring his mock-snoring best she could. Soon enough, a trick her mentor had taught her appeared in her mind like a lightbulb and the molly smirked proudly. She quickly spun herself around, so that her paws were against Snailriver's underbelly, and kicked him off her with as much force as she could muster without actually harming the tom - not that she could do all that much harm with sheathed claws anyway, but a little caution couldn't hurt. She giggled to herself as the tom fell next to her, mud splashing up in all directions. The she-cat quickly stood to her paws, smirking down at him proudly, "You can walk yourself to the river, your highness. And for the record, 'Snail' is the prefix of your name, not the suffix; if you're going to insult me, at least do it properly," She retaliated, turning in the direction of the river with a playful "hmph", her tail lashing through the air mock-annoyance.

Spiritflight walked out from the Nursery into the clearing. He was happy to be out in the air again. he wandered around, turning his head. Oakflame? Where is he? I hope he's not on patrol... He found a shaded spot by some reeds and sat down. Ahhhh...

The brown tabby slipped through some lichen, carrying a mouse, it hanging from his jaws. Oakflame definitely looked somewhat different from when he was a young warrior and apprentice. His build was more well built, and slightly athletic. He seemed taller, legs longer. And, a small scar decorated his flank, from a fight on the border with his father while seeing his half sister, Willowmask. He padded over to the prey pile, dropping the plump mouse. His amber haze danced around the clearing, landing on a familiar tom. Spiritflight? He hadn't talked to his former mentor, in..when was the last time? Oakflame shook his head, padding over to him in swift steps. "Spiritflight! How are you and moonriselight doing?" he asked, curiosity in his tone.

We just got a new addition to the family." He mewed, pricks of happiness in his voice. " How are you? " He asked. He was wondering just how his apprentice was.

Should I tell him about Willowmask?...he wouldn't tell anyone.. his mind debate ending, he shook his head softly. His tail gave a flick of his tail, gaze set on the ground. "I also found out I have a half sister in shadowclan.. surprising right?" he laughed softly, looking up again at the older. "Though, I think she's mad at me." He added on, a comfortable silence falling on them soon enough. A few moments later, Oakflame spoke again, "But, back on to you. Have you gotten another apprentice?"

Spiritflight smiled and nodded. "She'll be glad to hear from you" He mewed. He tilted his head as there was a long silence between them. Is something up? He flicked his tail. Do I smell bad? Or is Oakflame feeling uneasy? He wondered. He pricked his ears as Oakflame finally spoke. "Wow! really? That's great! I wonder if I have any half relatives..." He pondered. Another pause. Now I'm sure something's up. "No, not yet. I do want another one. Do you have an apprentice?" He asked , smiling.
