As the sidebar and WindClan News suggest, WindClan is left without a medicine cat after Beeblaze's recent death. We will be hosting applications to fill the role, but it is imperative that you thoroughly read the information below before submitting a response. If it seems you can't take the time to read this single post, we will not be confident in your ability to peruse the High Rank Guidelines or future high rank-pertinent information.

As always, the High Rank eligibility standards apply.

High Ranks are earned. ... To remain a candidate, demonstrate consistent activity over the course of the previous thirty days, abide by all Guidelines, and be an active, friendly, and contributing member of Warrior Cats Online.

We are searching for a non-traditional character to step into this rank. It is open to apprentices, warriors, senior warriors, and elders, but make the character stand apart from what is painted as the "usual" medicine cat! Uniqueness (not to be confused with a lack of realism) is ultimately what we're looking for in your character, which can be anything from personality, past experiences, age, physical characteristics, etc. Being shy, awkward, talkative, nice/grumpy, eager to learn, having an approved power, a love/hate opinion of StarClan, or having an uncanny ability with herbs are not considered unique traits.
We have no preference between preexisting and newly-created characters. You are not obligated to include whether this character currently exists or has just been made.
Specifically for past High Rank holders: You can feel free to apply if your "cool down time" has expired, however we will likely choose someone who has not had a previous high rank. Current High Rank holders: Share encouragement if you'd like, but please don't be dismissive of your fellow users. Holders that can maintain at least 6 posts a week and intend on being active with both ranks may apply.
Just a note that staff has decreased the cool-down times by half. Example: if you were a High Rank for 6 months, you can apply for a new High Rank after 3 months.
If your application is illegible or otherwise difficult to read, we will be forced to discard it.

Do not apply if:
You cannot publish at least three main roleplay posts per week with a minimum of 50 words per post (does not have to be with the high ranking character).
You are unwilling or unable to participate in site-wide plots.
You would like your character have a love interest and/or kits as the medicine cat and expect they will keep the rank.
The character described in your post is not the character you will be using in roleplay.
By the choosing date, you do not have a month of activity (at least 3 roleplay posts per week for the previous four weeks) in your history. For example, if you only made 1 roleplay post during the week of November 18th through November 24th, applying is a waste of your time because you will not meet the activity requirements.

Weeks That Need To Be Made:
If you fail to make 3 roleplay posts for any of these weeks, you do not qualify.

11/4 - 11/10
11/11 - 11/17
11/18 - 11/24
11/25 - 12/1

Application Process

To avoid forcing the staff to be organized for once limiting creative freedom, there is no form. Your application task is to simply reply to this thread, telling us about your character in your post. It can include as much or as little information as you'd like, and there are no length or structure requirements. If your application is a laundry list of name, age, rank, gender, appearance, etc. even without the actual structure of a form, it is still a form.
You can use an interview, a reference picture, or a character site link in your application, however, if any of these are used as a crutch/disguised form it will be ignored and it will not be taken into consideration for the rank.
If you are linking a character site or biography to give us more information about your character, that is a failure on your part. Selling your character and mindfully telling us what you think we need to know is the entire purpose of your application.
Reference images are not necessary. Include only if you have a very good reason to, because physical attributes alone will not be enough to make a unique medicine cat. If the extent of your character's originality is a neat design, we will pass over it - "cool markings, bro" is not a roleplay concept.
Seriously. If you have any of these in your post as a sneaky method of using a form, you will be disqualified.

Applications can be edited up to December 3rd, 2019 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time, and we will be selecting someone on December 5th, 2019.
