The marbled apprentice thought for a moment, then nodded. "I haven't been out of camp since Momma brought me here!" he replied, "Is it really pretty?" His head tilted to the side curiously, ears perked to eagerly listen for an answer. Palepaw allowed his gaze to pass over the landscape surrounding them, an excited glint of wonder in his eyes. His mouth opened in awe as he saw snow fall from a tree, unable to resist rushing over and poking at it. "What's this?" the tom asked, turning around to look toward Sunblaze.
However, he noticed that although he had clearly asked them a question, the other cats were completely ignoring the fallen star! His ears flattened and he stomped over to them, shoving his way between the two and lashing his tail. "Hey! You didn't answer the fallen star's question!" Palepaw shouted, pointing his tail toward Sunblaze to emphasize what he had said. "He asked you something! Answer it! Don't be rude!" The marbled tom pouted as he looked between Dawnpaw and Eagleflower, huffing quietly. Sunblaze was nice, he didn't deserve to be ignored!

Dirtfur kinked an invisible eyebrow at the dirt pile and the dead mouse beside. He slightly giggled seeing the young molly squeezing and having pieces of fur on her nose. finally, the gray and white warrior explained. "Hmm," the brown tabby looked back at the dead mouse. Now hearing it, the fresh-kill does seems like no warrior, but a rogue, had taken the mouse's life. "Helping hands that Lionstar won't like," he joked. "I'll report him of the rogue, now is time to take back the fresh-kill to camp." Dirtfur meowed, picking up his catch.

Nodding now as she put her cheery smile back on her face. Somewhere deep inside, her failed mission and catching the crook was nagging at her, but she managed to push it down and she covered up the dead mouse and unburied her own kill. A shiver ran down her pelt from her experience with the fur and she shook it out as she padded through the snow to catch up with Dirtfur. She came out here to hunt and have fun and she wasn't gonna ruin that now. Giggling a little at his joke, she walked beside him, tail swishing high in the air. "Yeah, maybe he'll hire them to get off his territory, can't work for free y'know!" she said, snickering at the thought of it. Suddenly, she bounded ahead, all spirits back in order as she crouched down in front of him playfully. "Hey Dirtfur, think fast!" she shouted, pawing some snow at him and running off towards camp laughing.

Goldecloud felt bad for the little chuckle that rumbled in his chest at Shimmeringpaw's wide blue eyes. Surely instincts aught to take over sometime in the near future.

"Kill it. Teeth to the neck is most efficient!" He called to get, stepping up out of his watching spot and shaking snow from his fur. Amusement shone in his golden eyes, not enough to be mean, just a light tease in their sparkle. His tail streamed behind him, lit gold by the morning sun. "Congratulations on the catch, squirrels can be tricky! They are quite clever creatures."

Shimmeringpaw cringed away from the thought of killing it with her teeth. But I must feed the clan... The silver and white molly took a swift bite, ending the poor squirrel's life. Hearing a sickening crunch the paw cringed again but now looking at Goldencloud."Like that?" She said. Stepping away from the dead creature she looked at it with pity. Her silver pelt down slightly dirty from her chase.

"Well, it is dead now. So like that indeed." He commented, though couldn't help but frown at her reaction. What kind of a cat looked so uncomfortable with feeding themselves? "Why do you look like that? Do you have a problem with hunting? Would you rather I give more explicit instruction or was that okay for starting?"

Goldencloud wanted to make sure her unease wasn't his fault as a mentor. Hopefully it wasnt, he didn't really want to have to spend so many precious minutes of training going over everything step by step. Of course, he would if that was better for her learning. The warrior watched the young silver cat with a curious gaze, face open and encouraging her to speak her mind. He wouldn't judge her to her face anyways, perhaps just internally.

Pigeonpaw's heart soared when Buckfrost confirmed her suspicions, and her pelt prickled with anxiety. It was heading out of the territory. What was he thinking?
The apprentice nodded quietly at Firehawk's suggestion. Perhaps he really was just exploring. But without his siblings? Without her? Sneaking out and exploring had always been something they had done together.

She shook her head and hurried onwards, chasing the faint scent further towards the outskirts of RiverClan's territory.

The mentor and apprentice seemed to be an odd duo to the molly. Their personalities were completely different from one another. And, in all honesty, she wasn't that fond of this "Greenfur". His informal greeting, tardiness, and lack of care for his own apprentice, it didn't set right. Giving him a slight side-eye, Dandeliondream carried on ahead of the two, posture polished to perfection. Glancing at Beetlepaw momentarily, she brought her gaze back forward before her remark. "You do know how to hunt, correct?" Her voice was a monotone trill; the only real reason she asked was to insure the black molly wouldn't put a damper on their-her- patrol. Taking in a whiff of the air, trying to distinguish the arrangements of scents caught in the breeze to see if any prey happened to be nearby. It wouldn't be a hunting patrol without much hunting, after all.

Keeping up with Daisydream's fast pace he glance back at Beetlepaw a few times to make sure she's trailing behind. He snapped his head back at the leading warrior once questioning the small apprentice. "If she doesn't know how, she will learn," he answered curtly for her. Not like she was paying attention anyways. Greenfur watched the feline sniffing away for any passing scents to pick up. Turning back at the sulking black bug he spoke up again. "I guess this will be a good learning lesson. What scent are you picking up?" He wasn't so fond hunting around this area. It's not the river. And he hates rodents. His claws flexed , sinking and rising from the soft dirt feeling a slight unease. Maybe luck will fall from the sky in hopes they'll find a rabbit hopping around close by.

Making his way out of camp, Sootflare quickly glanced around the surrounding area and checking the air for any fresh scents. The warrior watched the other search party off in the far distance. They, however, were not his mission and he soon moved on. “Keep an eye, ear, and nose out for anything out of the ordinary,” he began, glancing back at the warrior and apprentice,”We don’t want to be out here any longer than we have to.”

Eagleflower glanced ahead at the apprentice, his normally calm stature a bit ruffled. He fluffed up his fur as he grew flustered. He felt guilt wash over him in a wave, and he fumbled for words.
"Oh, Starclan, I'm so sorry! Sorry Sunblaze- and you too Palepaw! I didn't mean to be rude- I-I don't have the sharpest hearing of any cat." He exclaimed, apologizing profusely. He said 'sorry' more times after that, so often that it took quite a while before he could answer the question. When he finally came to his senses, he inhaled sharply and gathered up what remained of his confidence.
"The raid? I was a newly-announced warrior then. And not the most courageous of them, honestly. I didn't have a massive part in it. I didn't lose anyone, luckily." He mewed, nodding to Sunblaze, "I'm so sorry for your loss...you must have loved them very much. If talking about it helps, I'm open to it."

DawnPaw nodded slightly at EagleFlower before she only just caught the end of what SunBlaze was saying, the raid? Her face slightly sadden in sympathy at the toms loss as she knew all too well how that felt. The cream Molly went to open her mouth but was interrupted by PalePaw, she narrowed her eyes somewhat as she tried to calmly explain to the other apprentice."I was just about to say, I'm doing okay after the raids actually". Saying this she then turned her gaze onto SunBlaze her voice almost sounding sympathetic."...I didn't lose anyone to the raids but I understand how it feels to lose a very dear friend..a few moons ago I lost someone important to me....I offer my condolences to you aswell SunBlaze". After that she went silent, as she listened to her Clanmates speak, it was painful for her to bring up memories she wished to keep burried but she thought maybe a bit of honesty wouldn't hurt...she wanted to become a better day after all.
