Coldsong couldn't believe this guy. Brindlejaw thought he was entitled to a scouting position solely because he was chosen for deputy? And was that supposed to be his apology?! Jeez, Twilightstar sure knew how to pick em'. If she wanted a jerk, she might as well had chosen Coldsong in the first place...he didn't personally think of himself as one, but the crowd sure thought so. Might as well wear the title at this point.

"I didn't do anything wrong," Coldsong started, but quickly shut his mouth when Foxpudge and Leopardflare interrupted him. Were they...yelling at Brindlejaw? Not him? Hell, even Twilightstar somewhat defended him. Huh...well that was new. He wasn't quite sure how to reply to all that. Apologize? Yell? Gloat?

Getting really tired of arguing, Coldsong turned away from the deputy and let out a grumbly sigh. "Whatever, alright? I'm sorry. Let's just get on with the meeting, you're not worth arguing with."

"Ummm... Okay?" Quicksilver was utterly bewildered and a little.... concerned if he was being honest with himself. He hadn't expected much motherly-ness from Lupinegaze in the first place, but he'd expected her to have some maternal instinct. He himself wasn't much into kits, but if they were his, well, that was a bit of a different story.
"Alright, well, as long as they stay healthy, and pretty, I'll come and visit them from time to time. I suppose they'll need to know which Windclan cat contributed to their striking good looks." Or are you simply going to thank me for earning you a free pass to safety and food?"

"No that's quite it." Lupinegaze said through her teeth, rolling her eyes at his comment of good looks. She didnt have anything else, nor really wanted anything else to do with the tom. She didn't really care for makes at all in particular. Though she did like attention, and he was only mentioning himself being beautiful. Which made her angry. The emotion seemed to prickle at her a lot lately. Her multicolored tail tapped against the snowy ground in frustration and she got to her paws, ready to return to the nursery. Her mismatched blue eyes glared at Quicksilver. "You know where to find me if you do need me. It should be just under a moon before they arrive."

The silver apprentice ran out the apprentices den frustratedly with himself. How had he managed to miss the call! Over sleeping, that's how. He gave a sincerely apologetic look to Twilightshine as he looked around for his new mentor as he had heard just as he came out, as he ran straight into his new mentor. Thank god she was someone he liked, otherwise this may have ended badly. He especially liked this cat though, just because of how nice she was. He gave a grateful look up to her as he shook out the shock of running head first into Larksong. He had still been thinking about their patrol and in his excitement had stayed up all night. Making a mental note to apologize to the leader later for showing up late, he booped noses with his new mentor, glad it was her he was assigned to. She was the only cat he honestly trusted and he felt she liked him too possibly. The touch was a bit clumsy, but in all his excitement, he didn't notice and just sat down to attempt to hear the rest of the meeting.

Patrols
These are due on 18th, patrols leader should report to Twilightstar in her den or Brindlejaw in the clearing when finished, depending on who sent out the patrol. If somebody in your patrol takes longer than 24 hours continue on without them. Patrol leaders should take their starter straight to the territory or training grounds. Patrols do not need to be played through all the way to the due date if you finish earlier, report to the leader or deputy.

Twilightstar was hoping that she wouldn't have to worry about patrols at all one day. However, since it was a new deputy and the clan was in such a bind, she felt like she should continue helping out with doing at least hunting patrols. "Timberfur, I need you to lead a hunting patrol. Take Blizzardheart, Deerblossom, and his apprentice Hickorypaw. I don't care how small it is if, if it's prey bring it home." The leader ordered. At this moment, the clan didn't have the luxury to be picky about prey.

"Midnightstalker," Twilightstar would have liked to limit any interaction with her mother as much as physically possible. The lilac molly needed everyone's help with hunting though. "Take Newtcloud, Moorfoot, and Pebblepaw with you to hunt. Anything found needs to be brought home." She told her. The leader hoped that one of these patrols would bring a nice catch home for the fresh-kill pile. They needed it.

Timberfur was grooming his fur when he heard his name get called. He looked up and saw that it was Twilightstar. "Will do Twilightstar.", he meowed. He stood up and looked around for his patrol members. He saw them nearby and he walked up to them. "Blizzardheart, Dearblossom, and Hickorypaw we are to go on a hunting patrol together." , he meowed. Timberfur was a nervous wreck, but he didn't show it. His long fur began to shake.

Having been sitting outside, grooming her face very carefully, Elderpaw was privy to Twilightstar's summons for who would go on what patrol. The young apprentice paused mid-lick as she listened, wondering if her new mentor's name would be called as well. But Batglare was excluded from both patrols, and the she-cat had to swallow down the smallest bit of disappointment that arose. Flicking her ear dismissively, the apprentice goes on with grooming herself. Swiping a slick paw over her cheek, she contemplates the tom who seemed ever so unhappy to touch noses with her. But he looked nice... For a moment! Hopefully she wouldn't be kept waiting for long; Their territory was bound to be so much fun exploring! For the time being, though, Elderpaw was perfectly content with shining her fur.

Littlewish stopped squirming momentarily at the clip, cocking an eyebrow at the rather large stain of blood on the floor. Is that mine? He wondered, his vision swaying. He shook his head, trying to fix the blurry feeling from his head. It stuck to him like a burr in his pelt. Turning to Mistyfern, he allowed the tom to treat him. Glancing back at the blood doubtfully, he cleared his throat.
"Are you sure that's mine? My fur looks fine. Not a scratch." He mewed pointedly as his vision blurred. If course, to him it didn't look like he was wounded. His pelt looked like a fuzzy blob. Why does my head hurt?

Runningpaw hissed quietly at the medicine cat's comments, her ears flattened against her small head. She was, in fact, short. No mistake there. But she couldn't help but believe that one day she could be the tallest cat in the clan, overpowering even the strongest warriors. Despite her entire lineage, full of shorties, this was not a fantasy in her mind. She stepped away from Whitesong's sound at his new and Coyotesnarl's instruction.
"Is he going to be okay?" She mewed, her features softening.

Deerblossom perked his ears as his name got called for the patrols and turned towards the rest of the patrol members. "Yep." He meowed. He stood up.

Vulturekit raised her head proudly at Whitesong's praise, chest fur puffing up proudly. One day, when she finally became a warrior, it would be her duty to protect the nursery from weasels and evil ShadowClan warriors and whatnot. Not that she really understood why she couldn't just do that now.

Her ears flattened as the newcomers flooded into the nursery. Vulturekit didn't much like having to share attention. Not wanting to bother herself with pleasantries, the chimera kitten looked around for something to entertain herself with, yellow eyes eventually landing on small wadded piece of moss fluttering in the corner of the nursery. With no regard to her surroundings she dashed towards it, squealing in surprise when she tripped over an unsuspecting body. She went tumbling tail-over-paws and landed with an "oof" on her back, quickly bouncing back onto her paws with her fur bristling in embarrassment as she glared towards the other kitten that had she had just tripped over.
