Stars... their camp looked a right mess. Aspenbreeze had taken notice of it when they first arrived back from the waterbarn.. but she wasn't about to publicly insult the mouse-brains who did it.. whoever they were. She could of done it much better. Get them back up to the WindClan standard! The feline shook her head, a smirk playing on her features. Not like it mattered to her anyway, she preferred to sleep outside under the stars!

"Hrm.." She grumbled, eyes glancing to the pathetic pile that didn't even deserve to be called a 'fresh kill pile'. That small rabbit that was sprawled out looked like it had been torn by the coyotes and then left to rot in the sun like jerky. Aspenbreeze held back a burp of disgust, moving forward to dispose of the stinking maggot-y prey. Tossing it just a few feet outside of camp, the scrawny warrior made her way back into the center of camp,

"Would someone like to come hunting with me?" She cast a questioning gaze around, a slight hiss to her tone, "Considering most of our prey has been rotting in the sun and been shredding by those damn dogs." Why hadn't someone set up any patrols yet? Narrowed amber eyes danced around to look for a certain few pelts.

"I'll go." Coldsong mewed, approaching Aspenbreeze. He'd already been eyeing the pathetic fresh-kill pile all day, and he was planning on hunting sooner, but the Ashwing incident kept him occupied. "I don't know where Brindlejaw is, but someone's gotta organize hunting around here. This is getting ridiculous."

With that, he padded out of the camp, not looking over his shoulder to see if Aspenbreeze was following.

Lupinkit!" Monarchwing's eyes went wide as she rushed over, frantically looking over him. She shouldn't have she shouldn't have taken him out here or let him go in- calm down. Hopefully it's only a little scratch and nothing will hapoen and he'll just be a little sore. "What happened in there?" She wasn't really sure what to do. Did they need to go to Coyotesnarl? Rabbit scratches usually aren't that serious, but Lupin was a kit... what was she even going to tell him if they went?

Basilkit saw Puddlekit return and smiled,” Got boring in the nursery without us?” She asked curiously unaware of what occurred in the nursery.

Giving an approving nod as the warrior trotted out of camp, Aspenbreeze quickly followed after Coldsong. Once the pair had made it just out of ear's reach of camp, the warrior gave a sniff of defiance,

"Tell me about it," Aspenbreeze huffed, keeping her voice low, "You'd think that squirrel-brain would realize this is the worst time for us to be starving ourselves." Her protruding ribs and dried, thinning charcoal fur spoke volumes to that statement. "If those coyotes decide to come back, we probably won't get too lucky like last time." Her tail lashed every which way behind her as she continued padding alongside her hunting partner.

"Which way do you think will have the best prey? If those dumb dogs didn't scare them all away... Might be some vole by the river?" Her nose scrunched up at the thought, though her stomach rumbled with hunger. Aspen had never been a huge fan of vole, but it wasn't for her - it was for the clan. A nice juicy rabbit sounded more like it though...

"I-I ran into its butt!" He squealed out, curling himself into the curly fur of Monarchwing. Lupinkits sobs were quick and breathless as the sadness and trauma of the past moon cane tumbling out of his system. He pressed into the warrior, desperate to be assured, physically and emotionally. Tis only but a scratch but it wasn't solely the rabbits fault for his breakdown.

The sleek midnight pelted she-cat stepped inside her camp and immediately began sniffing around. It was primarily WindClan, Riverclan here and there, a tint of ShadowClan, with a dash of mongrel. It was a gross cocktail that made the senior warrior a little queasy. Midnightstalker spotted her daughter over yonder talking to one of them cats who had brought them home. It was a challenge not zooming over and showering the tired leader in affection. Her little light looked busy so she'd get out of dealing with Midnightstalker just this once. First things first should go out hunting. She was sure there was cats out looking for prey already, but more never hurt. "Any of you youngesters wanna help an old lady out with some hunting?" Midnightstalker let out a quick yowl. She'd go by herself if she didn't get any volunteers.

(If someone else already volunteered, just ignore this one—also is she a senior warrior or elder?)
Chickadeepaw heard the offer of going out hunting with Midnightstalker and podded over,” Can I go hunting with you?” He asked pausing before adding,” I’ve only had a little bit of hunting training,” he added,” I haven’t caught any prey yet, my mentor doesn’t have the patience to teach me, Crescentmoon talk me the hunter’s crouch and how to pounce, but hasn’t really let me try on prey yet.” He confessed, hoping she’d still be willing to take him our.

"Sure." Boring. That was the opposite of how Puddlekit would have described the exchange in the nursery. He debated in his head on whether or not he should tell the others about what had happened. "Umm...did you guys happen to hear any commotion going on outside?"

Something was wrong. It was the first thing her might said when she cleared the sleep from it. Breezefeather had gotten up just as soon as she shifted away from him. Perhaps he just felt uncomfortable by her, she had been cold last night and treated him as she would had they been in Shadowclan's warrior den and he was her sister. Daisybloom was familiar with that, she often felt like that at the starting days of her apprenticeship, before her and her mentor had really clicked.

She got to her paws and followed closely after Breezefeather. Followed to the prey pile and then to the shaded hide away in the camp. Silently, she sat by him in concern and bumped his shoulder with her nose to gain his attention. She looked up at his face.

"Are you ok, do you need time alone or need company?" she asked.

As Daisybloom bumped his shoulder he looked up. She asked him a question and he shuffled his paws and then let his shoulders drop with a heavy sigh. "I think I might... need to talk about all this. There is a lot.. a lot when it comes to my past... And I got to admit? Most are negatives things. And these things, these past memories is being drug up. I don't know why or the reasoning as to why I am remembering these, but I feel like they're important things to share." He shook his fur again before he settled well down into the ground. "I suffer from something I've nicknamed the Void. It feels like a living organism inside you, something that feeds off your negative emotions and instead inserts this feeling of self-guilt, self-hate and misery... And the more you feed it, the stronger it grows and the stronger its power over you and at some point it'll take over you. I lived for two seasons under complete control of the Void when I lost my first mate... She was everything I ever wanted but then she betrayed the clan... She'd always been a free spirit, she'd never settled down and it seemed not even a mate and a kit was able to make her stay..." He broke off, emotion filling his green eyes. It hurt to talk about and the void pulsed yet again, a warning sign that he was digging into unwanted territory. "I'm sorry... It hurts to talk about. I've not talked to anyone much about it since it happened."

"You ran into its- okay, come here." Monarchwing suppressed a giggle as she shook her head, pulling Lupinkit closer to her with a paw. "I'm going to clean it off a little, okay?" She smiled and started licking at his wound, cleaning it off the best she could. Something was off, but it wasn't just the scratch. Most kits would be fighting her to go back in and get revenge but Lupinkit just started breaking down. It must be the stress from everything recently... She sighed, continuing to clean off his neck.
