Foxpaw tried again, this time imagining the blow as she moved. She aimed to knock Sootflare over the head again as she sprang.

Eagleflower yelped in surprise, running towards the tree. He positioned himself carefully, ready to catch the small tom if anything went wrong. He didn't want an injured apprentice during their first training session! He squinted through the leaves, trying to make out Honeypaw.
"Hey, are you okay? Do you need me to help you at all?" He yowled, front claws scratching at the bark. Little bits of it fluttered off, and he gazed up nervously at the spot he supposed the apprentice would be.

Honeypaw caught them self, looking cautiously down at Eagleflower. "Yes, I'm okay. It's just my first time climbing a tree." They were grateful that Eagleflower was prepared to save them if they fell. They tried scampering up the tree again, and climbed onto a branch. "Am I hidden?"

Eagleflower sighed in relief, watching his progress throughout the remaining length of the tree. When he reached the branch, Eagleflower took a step back, squinting up into the little greens of leaves. Hm. He couldn't see anything...the tom's pelt helped quite a bit, and he was glad of that. Shaking his ruffled her, he cleared his throat.
"Nope- can't see any of you."

"Okay." Honeypaw peered at Eagleflower. They tried climbing as quietly as they could, then leaped as far as they could, aiming for Eagleflower.

Walking onto the grounds of the training island with Harepaw close by. He turned toward them to start a conversation, still unsure where to pick up where his training left off.

"So, Unless you've already got a cohesive understanding of it already, we can start with swimming, fighting, or fishing." he offered.

Harepaw thought for a moment. He never swam before, but he also didn't know how to fish, and he only learned one fighting move. "Uhmm....Teach me how to swim!" He decided cheerily.

The tom nodded in acceptance as he diverted his course to the island's shore line. He looked out to the immediate stretch of water and hummed in approval.

"Today is a good day to learn too, the water is calm today so you shouldn't have too much dificulty. When you are confident in your leg strength we can wait out for a windy day when the water is rougher. Every Riverclan cat needs to know how to swim, not just in calm water, but in choppy water as well." he said and waded into the shallows. The lynx point turned blue eyes to his apprentice and beckoned him in with his tail.

"Come on in to about your stomach and walk around first to get a feel for the water. then we;ll move in deeper. I don't want to rush you."

The warrior gave an indulgent smile. "It is." he agreed, still keeping an eye on his new charge.


"So, while we get you accustom to getting your paws wet, how did you and your friend enjoy your adventure?" he asked.
