Yeah, this wasn't working either.

"Shinefang's dead, and Fennelheart is a no-good layabout who disappeared-- thank the Stars. Neither of them can nor will vouch for you.

"I don't think you fully understand the situation you're in, Eveningpaw. You've been out of training for ten moons, at least-- I don't care how skilled you think you are, you'd be starting from scratch." Whatever she learned would be beyond rusty. He sincerely doubted she tried to maintain her abilities as a rogue.

"Moons of training means nothing to me, I want you to understand this. You can be an apprentice for four seasons and not be a warrior because you haven't worked for it. I expect results and participation. If you can give me that, I will allow you to join.

"But believe me when I say this: life here is far more different than your life in SkyClan was. I expect all of my cats to work their part-- and if you don't, you will not maintain your position in RiverClan."

Eveningpaw’s mouth dropped open. I convinced him? I thought I blew it...she confidently looked at Lionstar and meowed,” I’m willing to restart my training and will give you the results you want to see, I will not disappoint you, Lionstar.” she meowed hoping he’d believe her and assign her a mentor.

"I'd hope not."

Lionstar sighed as he moved around Eveningpaw, heading out of his den. "You missed a lot. There isn't much of SkyClan left anymore-- I think Eagleflower and Dawnpaw are basically it. Grouseheart resigned around the same time I became leader and vanished, Shinefang died a ways before that. Shortly after SkyClan merged, actually."

He beckoned her to follow him out into the clearing.

Flyfur made her way to Lionstar's den, foot falls soft as she wasn't in a terrible hurry. With most of her kittens apprentices, she'd like to resume her warrior duties, but she also heard about some elite training that began while she was nursery bound. And she was very interested in possibly joining in on that. She wanted to do her best for her clan. "Lionstar? If you're free.... may I speak to you?"

Lionstar had just returned from ditching Eveningpaw in the clearing with Mistfall, and he paused at the sight of Flyfur. "What do you need?"

She dipped her head to him. "I plan to return to active duties, and I heard there is some sort of elite training? I was intrested in participating."

Good news! "Sounds like a plan. I know you still have some kits that seem attached to you, are you planning on keeping them..?" Lionstar knew Sugarapple might be eager to take them in if not. "As for the elite training, you would need to speak to Thistlestep. He is currently the one attempting to run it."

Poppytwist poked her head into the den. “Lionstar?” She was so excited to tell him about Goosepaw’s assessment. He had done well and deserved his ceremony.

Lionstar swapped his attention to Poppytwist while he waited for Flyfur to respond. "What is it?"

“I did Goosepaw’s assessment today and I would like to inform you that he is doing very well. I think he is ready for a warrior ceremony. He thought outside of the box in his battling assessment and showed great promise as a hunter. I think that RiverClan would proud to have such a loyal warrior.” Poppytwist hoped Lionstar felt the same as she did. Goosepaw has done very well and deserved to be proud of his accomplishment.
