"I guess we can..." his voice trailed off as he heard Coldsong's voice. I want feathers in my nest! He beckoned for Snowkit and Snailkit to follow him. "Let's go get some feathers for our nests."

Puddlekit padded up to the warrior. "Coldsong, can we have some feathers please?" He purred as he imagined sleeping in a warm, fluffy nest. The moss in the nursery nests had gotten a little tougher after it had been used for moss ball. He hoped that feathers would restore the nest to the state it had been in when he had first arrived.

Snailkit padded up to where Puddlekit was. She stared at Coldsong. "Ooh! Can I have feathers too?" the kit mewed eagerly with her friends. Feathers would be such a nice addition to her nest, already thinking of the feeling of the feathers touching her fur. She purred in excitement.

As Snowkit follows behind Puddkit sure to look as cute as possible asked "May I have a feather to, please?"

Yewpaw's head popped up out of her nest. She looked tired - lacking the bright, bubbly energy she had always displayed around the camp before. And yet, she looked better than she ever had been since the invasion. Definitely better.

"I would love that. Thank you very much... ah, what's your name again?"

Coldsong stiffened as multiple kits enclosed the space around him. "Uh, sure, just be sure to take just one...one per kit, I mean..." His ears flattened anxiously as he looked between each one of them. He wished he was better with kits, but he never knew what to say or how to treat them.

Unsure of what else to tell them, he simply added, "They're uh, a gift from RiverClan."

Coldsong's ears perked at the apprentice who approached him. "Coldsong. You?"

"Wow, all the way from Riverclan?" There was a spark of wonder in Boulderkit's eyes as he looked up at Coldsong. He suddenly felt there was much more weight to his decision than earlier. These were special feathers, and he could only choose one for his mom. For his mom who would never be coming back, but he didn't know that. He didn't need to know that.
His eyes focused on the feathers again, his tail quivering with uncertainty. Looking back up at Coldsong, he mewed, "Which one is your favorite?"

Eveningpaw leapt to her paws at what Brindlejaw announced and looked quickly around the clearing to see if she could spot her mentor. "Hey! Summernight, hey, let's go on a patrol!"

Summernight gazed at her apprentice and thought a little before nodding, they could both go out together unless someone wanted to join the two. "We should go and do a border patrol, and maybe hunt something on the way back, it'll give me the chance to show you how and perfect your technique." She purred and nuzzled her apprentice.

Puddlekit flicked his ears indecisively. He didn't know which feather he wanted. They were all so pretty! He sat back and continued admiring them, until he heard Boulderkit speaking.

He decided to follow up with the other kit's question. "Yes, which one is your favorite? Maybe you can keep one since you went all the way to RiverClan to get these for us!"

Snailkit squinted at the feathers and took a good look at them. She looked over to the two other curious kits, questioning Coldsong about which feather was his favorite. She then joined them. "Yeah! You can even keep a few if you wanted." she squeaked.
