Gingerpaw slightly nodded as Deweyes told him about Skyclan- he doupted he had ever met a Skyclan warrior, Gingerpaw never really bothered making much contact with others, especially warriors. And if he did meet one, it must've been before the age of three moons; but there was no point in contemplating that, he had either met one, which he doupted, or not, simple.
The young tom calmly continued to follow behind his mentor, ploffing down as soon as they seemed to have reached what he assumed was another border as Deweyes seemed to be marking it. "--WindClan?" he guessed. She did mention that she'd be taking him to the WindClan border, so he assumed it was this one, which would explain the yet another strange scent he hadn't smelled before. Gingerpaw didn't bother mentioning he smelled Riverclan as well since it was quite obvious, they were on Riverclan territory after all "..And some heather" he followed up in a sort of muttered murmur, that being a scent he indeed was somewhat familiar with.

snowpaws face hardened in determination, and she began to carefully copy what her mentor suggested. Her face lit up as she was able to stay afloat for much longer, and she began to paddle around the stream, Creekleap, look! Im doing it! She laughed in glee.

Snowpaw started to paddle faster, making sure that she was as balanced as she could be.

Snowpaw purred, Really?! Swimming is really fun! I like it a lot! she exclaimed, her layers of shyness being stripped away as she opened up to her mentor.

”Correct,” Deweyes purred. She knew he didn’t actually know what Windclan smelled like and rather knew that they were at that border, but she wanted to praise him for participating. Also, he’d gotten heather correct too. “Often, there is a third smell that might drift from this border. That is hare. It isn’t really necessary to study the scent of hares- you’ll commit it to memory naturally eventually- but it isn’t likely you’ll be hunting any rabbits unless you suddenly wake up in Windclan. You should, however, remember the scent of Windclan- as you should remember all clan scents. It is imperative for keeping our borders and ourselves safe. Next up is the border with Shadowclan. Then I’ll take you to see the training island and we can head back to camp!” Flicking her tail, Deweyes set off for the next border, hoping Gingerpaw was soaking up all the information.

Snowpaw bounded out of the stream, Yeah! Teach me! she trotted up to Creekleap, her eyes gleaming. Im so excited!

"Ok, come with me to a calmer part of the river." She led Snowpaw to a wide part of the river. "We will be learning the Rushpaw splash- it was invented by an apprentice!" @Mumble
