Frostpaw mentally recoiled but tried not to let it show. He didn't blame Flintfreckle's enthusiasm. Just the wrong thing said at the wrong time. "My favorite prey is lizard," the white apprentice corrected. "Raven is something... different." Frostpaw paused there. He didn't trust himself to explain what had happened, so he tried something else. "My previous mentor was Ravenvine," the tom said. I'm sure you know he drowned, was left unsaid. "I used to have a friend also named Raven," Frostpaw added. She's dead, too, was also left unsaid.

Crystalkit was so focused on reaching the elders that it didn't notice Moonkit in the way. Crystalkit tried to used it's tail to cushion Moonkit's fall but Crystalkit ended up in the food pile. "Ahh! SO SORRY MOONKIT!!!"

It was like Snowkit had stars in her eyes, "Thats so cool! Thanks for telling us about the other clans!" She was grinning, and you could almost see the gears in her head turning and absorbing all the information.

Firekit, on the other hand, looked fairly bored by all of it. "Thanks for explaining." She looked over at Snowkit with a mischievous glint in her eyes, and tagged the white tail of her sister. "Oh look, I touched your tail, guess you have to chase me now!" She then sprinted off, ready to continue their game.

Snowkit gave a look of apology, "I guess I'll see you around Frostpaw, thanks!" She took off after her sister, yelling at her to slow down.

Adderstorm lumbered out of the warriors' den, yawning so long his jaw popped. He quickly passed a paw over his eyes and ears in a futile attempt to shake the grogginess away. What should he do today? Getting something to eat was probably first on the list.. But right now he just wanted to rest some more. He'd stayed out late last night and just didn't have the energy. His yellow gaze swiftly calculated the area, picking out a cool spot to lie low. He padded over to the spot and sat, sighing, to "rest his eyes".

"Right, ok." The calico nodded. "After that I think...I think I'm going to sleep for a week. Ravenvine was...heavy." she mumbled as she turn head towards the leaders den.

"I'll talk with you later Irisflame." Daisybloom promised.

Moonkit whined a little bit, having landed kind of awkwardly on her front left paw. She got up and shook herself, keeping her paw up and licking it very gently “it’s okay, you didn’t mean to” @Elementals

He saw his mentor and walked over, sitting near him. Was this a good idea? This was probably a double edged sword. Sit in the blinding morning light, or get yelled at. @Sum

"Oi, were you also heading over to the elders for a story?" Crystalkit asked.

“Yeah, I was hoping it would be a nice calming thing.. I haven’t visited the elders so I don’t even know if they know me” she smiled sweetly at Crystalkit “I’ve only heard stories from other kits” @Elementals

Irisflame nodded back to Blackpaw, glad he understood his order unlike some incompetent apprentices. She shook her head, mind still bristling from the whole 'Barely just apprenticed kit against barely just apprenticed kit' thing. It was rash and irresponsible, the way that Ivykit had reacted.
"No problem. Don't know if I'd be here without nice cats like you guys. Come back if you need anything." She mewed, dipping her head dutifully. She hoped she sounded nice enough. But she was under and incredible amount of stress lately, and things were just not going the way she wanted them to. I swear, if anything else happens to this clan, I will kill the whole lots of them... She growled internally. Okay, maybe that was an exaggeration, but she was getting pretty put off.

"Just means you tell her a story so that she can relax. Any story you like- perhaps the one where you were found across the border? Then her muscles don't get tense so I can actually pull it out." She mewed. She could feel the beginning of irritation spark across her pelt, and she turned away from the curious tom.

[Post-thorn extraction] Irisflame shook her head. It wouldn't be infected if she'd only gotten it a little while ago. It was practically impossible for it to be infected then.
"No, it wouldn't be. Just putting marigold on it in case it does." The thorn had been extracted, and she could see things were going on a lot easier because of it.
"Take it easy on that foot of yours. Come back if anything else pops up to say hello."
