Brightpaw simply stayed still, his throat having tightened. "But I didn't--I didn't even get to say goodbye," he choked half to himself, flattening his ears as his voice cracked. Stars, he was so... Why had he been so stupid as to not know?

Cormorantpaw didn’t know why he’d been made an apprentice before his littermates, but he wanted to congratulate them for their ceremonies. He trotted over to Ravenpaw and Eveningpaw and offered a friendly smile to each. “Congrats!” he mewed, hoping they wouldn’t be mad that he’d already been made an apprentice. Maybe it had had something to do with Buckbranch asking to be his mentor. Cormorantpaw shrugged to himself and turned his attention back to his siblings.

Frostpaw stared up at Lionwhisker, eyes filled with tears. "B-Bloodfur came, and told me he k-killed.. Thunderclan! And.. a-attacked s-said I-I was a-a b-bad...." She trailed off, fear shaking her mew. This was the one thing she'd tried to deny. "C-cat.. and h-he wants t-to h-hurt T-thunder-..." The molly dropped her words, unable to say much more. The Dark Forest had scared her more than anything, and one question rang through her ears- Was she a bad cat?

Sweetpaw frowned at her mentor’s tone. Was she that much of a stickler to rules? Sweetpaw had sneaked out of the nursery all the time when she was young; Sweetpaw didn’t much care for rules if it ruined her fun. She shook her pelt and tried to focus on Duskstar. This meeting is so boringggggg. She thought with a inward sigh. She knew better than to speak aloud next to Minnowthorn by now, so she kept her tongue, if only while Duskstar continued to speak. As she paused, Sweetpaw couldn’t help but talk once more. “That’s awful.” Sweetpaw couldn’t think about loosing Condorpaw. “Anyways, when do you think this is gonna be over so we can go hunting? I’ve been good and this is... boring.” She murmured mournfully.

Owlstorm put his tail on the toms shoulders, trying to comfort him as best as he could, which frankly, Owlstorm though was terrible. Owlstorm’s gaze softened as he could see him struggling to cope with the information and Owlstorm let out a mournful sigh. Why did Linnetwing have to leave all this behind. He flexed his claws, closing his eyes and taking and deep breath. He didn’t want this apprentice to be so down on himself, but he didn’t know how to comfort him. ”I’m not sure any cat did.” Owlstorm could see the young tom’s inward battle with himself. “It’s not your fault. There’s nothing you could’ve done.” He sighed, looking back at Duskstar.

Springpaw looked around for Hollowedaster, wondering if his new mentor would despise him or not.
