The tomkit found himself wanting to apologize, for whatever reason. Still, he kept his mouth closed, unable to articulate any sort of coherent speech.
Sighing, he lay down in a nest of his own. "I don't know why I bother," he muttered.

Blinking at her sleeping form, Thornkit turned away and curled up into a ball in his own nest. After what seemed like ages, he finally drifted off too.

Smokekit woke up early in her nest and yawned. She stood up and looked around, and saw all the sleeping figures of the other cats. One figure stood out to her for some reason, Thornkit. She flicked an ear.

Thornkit was in a deep sleep, dreaming. He dreamt of being outside camp, with his sister Ivypaw; they were training when suddenly, she vanished, and he was left alone.
He jolted awake, forgetting where he was for a moment and believing it had actually happened. He caught sight of his fellow kits but his pelt still bristled.
