The whole ceremony came as a surprise to him. He'd only just lost her another apprentice, and another one had come barging back in. Hopefully this one would stay, unlike the others. Only Oakflame had ever managed to get to warriorhood, and the other two disappointments were off probably living their lives as kittypet of rogues of some kind. Good riddance, honestly! What kind of cat who'd rather disappear deserved to be in this clan, anyway? They were Riverclan, not puny, soft Thunderclan! Hopefully this apprentice wouldn't be a total sass bag like Dawny was...
"Thank you, Lionstar. It's an honour." He purred, bowing. His golden-brown fur fluffed out with further pride, newly groomed just this morning.

Exchanging a warm smile with his apprentice, he leant down to touch noses with Stonepaw.
"I expect that you're ready for training?" He mewed simply, voice dainty as always. Though he kept the warm smile, his gaze was cool. There'd be no monkey business under his watch, that was for sure. Glancing towards a familiar pelt, he grinned as he spotted Ashpool. His mate was here! She may have been around quite a lot, but he never got tired of seeing her face. He gestured excitedly to Stonepaw, hoping it was subtle enough to catch her attention.

Turtlekit's eyes went even wider to hear her name called out, it scared her, thinking she might get snapped at like those other kits. She knew by now what an apprentice was, and she was surprised to hear she was going to become one. She hastily weaved through the other cats to where the rest of the kits gathered, still cowering when she sat among them. Apprentice's had chores, she'd seen them do them and leave the camp. They also seemed to be more prone to injury than a kit, probably because of all the work they did. It scared her to think she'd be bad as an apprentice, would she be kicked out if she wasn't good enough? Swimming had been difficult, and frightening. When she was seen to be bad at what must be such a vital skill, would she be scolded and sent away?

Coastpaw padded toward the streamstone as a meeting was called, ears perked to see what this was about. As Lionstar started talking, he listened in and watched as five apprentices received new mentors. Suddenly, he was grateful that Splashfury had been thorough so far in getting him trained. Then, he listened as a bunch of new kits got their apprentice name and their mentors, eyes bright with excitement for them. He still remembered his own apprentice ceremony like it was yesterday even though it had been quite a long time ago. It was a memory that would last a lifetime for these kits.

Softpaw gave a curt nod, before weaving through the cats to get to her favorite grumpy kitty, gentlefart. She stood in front of her new and defiantly improved mentor, "glad you get to be my mentor, I know i can learn a lot better with a cat as fun and cool as you gentleface." she snickered.

Beankit listened, nodding along. What kind of cat just goes and disappears? But then, his name was called. Wh— what? His heart raced. He stood up, though, not saying a word as he crept through the ranks and followed the other cats his age. He hoped he was following the right cats as he arrived at the base of the big rock, absolutely terrified. He had no clue what to do. He’d never seen a meeting before. The faces around him radiated excitement or slight nerves. The young siamese was very afraid. Afraid he’d do something so horribly wrong, he’d get called out for it. Afraid his secret would be exposed to the entire Clan. What if Grizzlybug was wrong, and they really did have to pass a test in order to become an apprentice? Well, if it was fighting, hunting, or even swimming, he was bound to fail. The cat shook visibly.

Dawnkit hissed at Bumblebelly "I did nothing wrong." She moved away from him and looked up at Lionstar as her name was called. She quickly walked up and stood beside Duskkit, brushing up against his fur comfortingly, seeing how nervous he was, she whispered to her friend "He will give you your new name and you will touch noses with the mentor you are given, okay?" She smiled comfortingly before facing Lionstar again

The grey molly scrambled to the gathering quickly, realizing she was late but hoping no one would notice. Sighing she listening in, realizing a lot of new apprentices would be made today. A familiar fire lit in her eyes but dwindled at the thought she most likely wouldn't get one due to.. yeah.

It'd been some time since Lionstar called a Clan meeting, and what better time than now when things had settled down and he had a plethora of announcements to make?

Mostly ceremonies for kits and apprentices. He wasn't sure if he'd go into the warrior ceremonies this time around-- it depended on how everything else went.

"All those old enough to swim, gather beneath the Streamstone for a Clan meeting!"

His voice bellowed out as he climbed up the rock, taking a seat with his tail neatly tucked into his paws.

First things first.. once some cats gathered around he'd fix the apprentices that no longer had mentors problem.

Stars, cats ditching their apprentices was getting old. Lionstar didn't like his but you didn't see him going missing over it!!!!!

Mistleap bounded up to the meeting. She was so excited, she didn't know what to do. She licked her paw and drew it over her ear. The fluffy, small cat stared intently at the leader.

"Why doesn't Lionstar trust me?" Nightclaw mutters, turning and sitting with her back to Lionstar.

Wait....what?! His....sweet! Now he's even with wormbite! His eyes sparked as he stepped forward . Wait...she...oh. That was disappointing ...greatly . If he had to be annoying and up in her face to get the apprentice to come out and train . So be it! Whatever he can do to not make him look a bad mentor but also not make finchpaw look bad herself . Tsk. And wow that was a lot of new and old apprentice s .. HE SHALL SHOW THEM HOW TO BE A PROPER MENTOR! HAHAH! Grinning " yes sir. I will do my best! I won't let you down" he meowed with a lift of his chin. I won't let you down either fallenstorm...wherever you may be...

" finchpaw get your butt over here" he meowed playfully only to pad toward her.
