Cloverwish could feel eyes boring into the back of her head. Jeez, Honeycreeper was way too attached. And annoying. Just because she’d harbored his children and sat with them in the nursery for AGES, didn’t mean he could stare at her. Tired of his awkward behavior, Cloverwish whipped her head around. “Could[ you please stop staring?!” Oh. He was staring at his paws, not her. She was just being paranoid. Like always. How Cloverwish hated showing weakness. Emotionally and physically. “What’s.... wrong?” Ew. Disgusting.

Ivyshade woke with a start. "AAAAAA!" She shot up and laid eyes on the kits. Kits weren't supposed to be in the warrior's den... "Why, you little RATS! I ought to skin you alive! Go back to your mothers, I want a word with them!"

(she normally wouldn't be flipping out like this, but she's very nervous and easily startled haha)

He glanced at Cloverwish, shocked by her outburst. Staring? Did he have a habit of doing that? He hadn't realized if he had.
Why hadn't she mentioned it sooner? He would have stopped if she asked. (Or actually noticed that he had, in fact, been staring at her)
When she calmed down and questioned him, he shrugged as best a cat could. "I'm not sure. Its just-" he inhaled slowly and deeply, giving himself time to think about his phrasing. "Since Riverclan struck at us, destroyed our dens, I've been.... worried." 'Worried' didn't cut how he felt. But he didn't know a better one.
"I know there isn't reason to," he admitted softly, keeping his eyes solely on the ground, not daring to face her anger again. "But some part of me worries we'll be attacked again before we can fix everything. Or that......" he stopped himself. "It just feels like, with everything that's happened recently, death is hanging over our heads, wanting for more and that it won't leave until it's had its fill on our losses."
Ah, yes. Morbid. Poetic. Really really dumb sounding.
But if the past was any indication, this was just the long and slow buildup to some horrendous disaster or event. And he wasn't prepared for that.

@Fallen One (idk, Honeycreeper seems like the guys who would construct edgy poetry as an angsty teen about his heartbreak and suffering and just never lost the love of poetry)

Cloverwish almost wrinkled her nose with disgust. What made Honeycreeper think this was something she could help with? Giving a small sigh, the molly patted her mates foot with a paw. “Don’t worry, I’m sure a lot of others experienced the same. “ Hah! Sometimes Cloverwish surprised herself with her lies. Honeycreeper could be foolish sometimes, weak. One thing she was proud of to be lacking. The idiotic emotions her mate had that she obviously didn’t. “And your poetry is idiotic. Shut up about it and move the hell on.” Cloverwish should be nominated for an award, of being the best mate. She’d just wanted some kits, and a cat to rant to. Not to listen to this angst. She could barely stand to hear herself, with the amount of rubbing Honeycreeper had offed on her. Wait.... did that make sense?

Ribbitkit listened to Icestar speak, waiting for his turn in the ceremony. He noticed his brother hadn't gotten the deputy as his mentor like he'd hoped, but that shouldn't matter too much as long as the mentor he did get was a good one.

Then, it was his turn. Eyes glimmering with pride, Ribbitkit, now Ribbitpaw, stood up straight as he was renamed and assigned a mentor. The brown tabby tom smiled as he found out he'd gotten Mouseleap as he had wished for. Zoning out on the ceremony for the next kit, he instead searched the gathered cats for a sign of his new mentor. Spotting the grey she-cat sitting amond the crouwd, he calmly trotted over to touch noses with the warrior.

Mouseleap trotted over to Ribbitkit..no Ribbitpaw! She was proud that the kits of Shadowclan were growing fast. She went to touch noses with Ribbitpaw after she had been called upon to do so. "Want to start today or would you like to get some rest first before you see our territory?" she asked Ribbitpaw letting him choose what he would like to do first.

The corner of his mouth twitched into a half smile. Her dismissive attitude actually did make him feel better. If she couldn't be bothered to worry about it, was it truly to be dwelled on?
"You're still a horrible liar." Call his poetry idiotic; what did she know? A lot actually and she was right, he was terrible at it. But he absolutely never would tell her that- she was already right about everything else.
The fear was still there, but muted and little more than background noise compared to his other emotions.
He stuck his tongue out at her. Not sure why, he just did.

Ribbitpaw sat and pondered whether or not he wanted to see the territory today or if he should wait until the next. But he quickly came to a decision that he wanted to see it today. After all, why wait? He wasn't tired, quite the opposite actually. The young apprentice was full of energy from the excitement of ranking up, and he couldn't think of any other reason not to go see the territory. Plus, waiting until tomorrow would only give Croakingpaw the bragging rights of seeing the territory first, and he knew that if that happened, his brother would talk his ear off about it. Giving his mentor a small smile, the tabby tom opened his mouth to speak. "I'd like to see it today if you wouldn't mind," he mewed calmly.

Cypresspaw was padding about the clearing when she noticed Blackpaw walking a little ways away. For the first time, she noticed how similar they looked. Even though there eyes were different, there dark fur colors were very similar.

Blackpaw turned and saw a she-cat looking at him, “Hey, who are you. You look familiar.”
