Dawnstripe took a few paws steps away from the apprentice while listening to him answer her question. "Good, because I wasn't going to wait for you," Dawnstripe growled, fixing her stance and relaxing her muscles. "Let's see what you can do." she curled her lips and waits for him to attack first.

Snailkit was on the verge of tears but when he heard that sweet, sincere question, the damn broke. Fat, salty tears came tumbling out of Snailkits large kti-blue eyes as he collapsed into the queens milky fur. "S-S-shes gone..." He managed to mumble out, "Don't like being alone... The nest is empty n' their scents aren't there anymore... miss em'." Snailkit sniffled, peering up at Milktooth. He just wanted a cuddle.

Milktooth's eyes widened when Snailkit's tears appeared, it just broke her heart. She pressed her head against his tiny one, physical comfort could never go wrong. "Oh, honey," She made an attempt to rid him of tears with a few swift licks, nuzzling him afterwards. "It's alright, don't cry." Honestly, she didn't know if it is truly alright. This little one had lost his mother, he was alone, she couldn't really fix that.

Snailkit wanted to believe her, he really did. He relaxed a smidge, resting his squishy cheek against her warm pelt. Having a cuddle from a queen was lovely, he felt relaxed and wanted. A change of emotions from the isolated sorrow he had found himself falling into. "I'm so lonely," Snailkit whispered, comfortable enough with the queen to tell her so. He peered back up at Milktooth, a single tear rolling down his cheek. "can-can you be my Mummy?"

Sparrowsnap sat back on her haunches, giving a long, elaborate yawn as Smallpaw soon emerged into the training grounds.

She blinked away her tiredness. Ugh. Why did she even have to train this weak apprentice? She wanted to be sound asleep in the warrior's den, not teaching some stupid, six-moon-old cat some battle moves she would probably never even be able to use!

"Okay, Smallpaw. So what I'm wanting you to do is attack me. You will study my corresponding moves and note each action I perform. Understand?"

Sparrowsnap started back, legs scrambling against the moist dirt of the ground as she hurriedly jumped to the side. StarClan, this apprentice was fast! Hmph. Maybe she was weak physically, but... Well, at least she was fast.

Seething a hiss, Sparrowsnap reared up sluggishly to her hind-legs and lashed out with her forepaws in an attempt to catch and topple over her apprentice.

Sparrowsnap stretched her jaws in a long, delicious yawn as she slipped quietly into the warrior's den. Kicking back her hind-legs to give her fur a couple of good shakes, she circled a neat, moist patch of moss before finally flopping down and suppressing a slight grin. She had to admit, it felt so good to be able to relax again in the warm comfort of the warrior's den after her fight with Slashthroat. And what was even better? She had gotten rid of the burden of that stupid brown she-cat! Slashthroat was dead. Dead and gone for good.
