Yewpaw heard her name called for the patrol and for a moment she glanced around the clearing in search of Coldsong and Eagleclaw only to remember... Coldsong wasn't around. Not seeing Eagleclaw again, she watched Brindlejaw for a moment before taking a deep breath and marching forward. 'Just gotta face your fears, Yew. Accept it. Get over it... right?'

"Uh, Brindlejaw? I-" she began, her voice coming out as more of a squeak. She cleared her throat and tried again, "Brindlejaw, Coldsong hasn't been around... for a while. Almost... a moon I think. Since the- Since the prey social?" The longer she talked the more unsure she became and the more her voice began to shake. She was practically on the verge of tears, "I think... I think he's... missing?" As the last word came out she flinched and shrunk back into herself, afraid to hear the deputy's response.

As the days went by, Songkit developed and was able to do things that other kits could do. Some of the loud noises tended to scare him. He loved staying by his father at any time Gentlemoo wasn’t busy. Blinking his eyes and ruffling his fur, he tested his vocals and went low to high making sure nobody could watch him. Once his saw his father, he padded towards Gentlemoo and meowed, “Hi Dad! What you wanna do today?”

Gentlemoo let out a purr as his favorite child, Songkit approached him,” Well, Songkit. I’d like to do whatever you’d like to do.” he meowed as he gently licked Songkit’s shoulder. Yes, he was so happy with his first born and favorite child.

It was all so exciting... but he would have to focus. This would not be easy, the apprentice could already tell.

Cloudfluff smiled, she preferred to hunt over fight. "Alright, you want to catch rabbits? Then here we go." Cloudfluff tore a strand of heather away from a bush, and placed it on the ground. The molly ran, then leaped, scoring the heather with her claws. "So, you run, leap, then bite or claw." She said, hoping she didn't sound to blunt. She opened her jaws, trying to catch a scent of a rabbit.

So she was finally leading a patrol... how gracious and kind of her good friend. Walking up to Brindlejaw she smiled sweetly at the deputy before letting out a huff and moving on to find her patrol members. "Hailpaw dearest little thing! Get a move on sweet thing!" she called out to her apprentice, hoping the silver apprentice would actually be capable of finding her in this throng of cats. "Skunkblaze, get a move on we ain't got all day, gotta get this moving, not take all day and then report back to Brindlejaw."

"You'll always be little compared to me," Mountainmist commented with a slight smile and a soft laugh, tucking Creekpaw in close. "Even when I'm fat and loaded with small kits, I'll be larger and taller than you are." She refrained from commenting on the fact that in all truth it was mostly all fur. She was a large she-cat with muscles to boast but also with too much for to be healthy. "Ya think my babies will be apprenticed to you, little one. What if I say... they won't be." Her eyes had a teasing glint in them, this was fun to just relax, to joke around. Her apprentice was truly growing up, and it was something that she knew she had to learn. No longer would she be seeing an apprentice in front of her, but a grown warrior...Soon.
