Lifting her invisible eyebrow at her mate the molly gave her signature 'yeah right' look. "I know that you love me but where was it when you disappeared? Huh? I was worried sick that a wild animal ate you up or the fact that you are soon to be a father scared you away." Voice holding hints of concern and laced of sarcasm. She wasn't sure to hit him over the head or to bring him in for a hug.
When Whitesong sat down next to her the mottled queen's heart melted and Songbird rested her head on his shoulder. "Oh my you have no idea. A horrible mother left this kit alone in the back of the nursery and I didn't find him until last night! I felt so horrible and Crowkit had a horrible fever and Coyotesnarl had to come in." It broke her heart to see such a young child to be neglected.

Shockpaw entered the nursery with Blackkit [ @Lynxpaw ] in tow.
"Lynxstep? Songbird? Mooselily? Do you think there's someone who could take in an extra kit?"

Brindlejaw padded out of the warrior's den and into the clearing with his blazing orange eyes roaming the area for a certain tom. Spotting him the deputy padded up to his apprentice. "Hey Heatherpaw. Are you up for some hunting?" Tilting his head. They already did the one fighting lesson and running but they still had a long way to go. Hopefully, his apprentice would be up for a few lessons.

Rosepaw rolled her eyes at her friend. She had a plan and Dodgepaw was messing it up! However, she nodded and bent over the fallen WindClan warrior, heaving the lithe gray tom onto Dodgepaw's back. Then she glanced over at Twistedpaw and glared at the apprentice. "Your fault," she whispered to her enemy.

Twistedpaw felt an awful pang of guilt. This was her fault. Had she really injured her mentor? Was she really diseased like Rosepaw said? Head drooping, she followed them from behind at a slow pace.

(Maybe we should move this to Coyotesnarl's den? It might be a bit awkward, though, because Rosepaw has a roleplay going on there... but hey, it's okay. I'll just let them know what happened.)

Rosepaw followed Dodgepaw as he carried the limp form of Wolftail on his back. Then she glanced over at Twistedpaw, who was trailing guiltily behind. Not wanting to look at the hideous creature any longer, she glanced back at Dodgepaw and, when they came to a stop, she took a step forward to look at the medicine cat.
"Coyotesnarl!" she called out sweetly before glancing over at Twistedpaw. "You explain."

Twistedpaw, still feeling horribly guilty, padded up to Coyotesnarl and bowed her head. "I-I..." she began, then meowed, "Wolftail collapsed during training today. I... I think that it's my fault."

(I sent a visitor message to explain the situation. Oh, and Rose is definitely going to twist the situation and make everybody think that it's Twisted's fault :>)

Dodgepaw looked offended. "You know, maybe I could get some credit for heaving an unconscious warrior all the way from the training moor to camp?" he was joking, as always, but this time he was trying to break the tension between Twistedpaw and Rosepaw. He could feel it in the air.

Rosepaw nodded. "You did a grand job," she assured her friend. "Better than any cat here." Then she glared at Twistedpaw. "You could've at least helped."

Twistedpaw blinked at her. "I-I did!" she exclaimed. "I..." But then she realized that what she had done really wasn't really helpful. She shook her head. "I'm sorry," she whispered.

"And so you should be!" Rosepaw spat, then lowered her voice. "You're of no use! You injure your mentor, who happens to be the father of Crescentmoon's kits? What if he dies?"

Twistedpaw's eyes widened in horror.


(For context: he fainted just due to blacking out, mainly due to lack of sleep, I'm pretty sure. Rose is just making this a guilt trip.)
