Goosefury's brows twitched. If that didn't convey the amount of anger he was feeling at that moment, then his slowly lashing tail and the ripples of his muzzle certainly did. "It's too dangerous out here for you two," he growled, straightening up. "And who, might I ask, is Cherrypaw? As far as I'm concerned, we don't have a Cherrypaw in RiverClan." If these kits had actually spoken and convinced an outsider to come along on their stupid little adventure... all he knew was that Sootflare and Lionstar weren't going to be happy at all.
He turned his attention to Wavekit, preparing to scold her as well for blaming her friend for getting them in trouble - stupid kids, it was both of their faults - when she suddenly curled herself against his paws. Goosefury's scowl faltered momentarily, and he found himself wanting to tell her that he wouldn't report them, and that their apprentice ceremonies would be on time.
Then he remembered the direness of the situation, and he steeled himself and forced the glare back over his features. "If your apprentice ceremonies are delayed, it's your own two faults," he said coldly. "It's far too dangerous out here for kits like yourselves - what would you do if a hawk happened upon you, or a badger or an owl or a fox? You wouldn't be able to defend yourselves. To put it shortly, you'd die, and no one would know, and your mothers would be left wondering what happened to you." Was that a bit harsh? Yeah, sure, but these idiots needed to know what kind of situation they had put themselves in. He bent down to pick Skykit up by the scruff and set her over his shoulders - but suddenly she flashed by him and darted off into the woods.
Goosefury released a string of curses and tore after her. "I'll meet you back at camp!" he called over his shoulder to Bumblebelly, and then sped up. He swiftly caught up to her and skidded to a halt in front of her, hoping to halt her in her tracks.

Skykit was thinking about running away again when she Remembered lionstar talking about hawks. Maybe I’ll just go back to camp.. oh! I know, I can go catch a frog then throw it at goosefury and bumblebelly for finding us! But she thought better of that idea and started to return to camp.

"Nope." Goosefury lashed out a paw, scooped her back closer to him and then bent down and grabbed her by the scruff and hauled her over his shoulders. "You get to sit up there until we return to camp, you hear me? Any movement and I'll feed you to the hawks. I doubt Lionstar would care." He set off back to Bumblebelly and the other idiot child, picking up his frog and fish as he went.

I asked that to Skykit to try to talk her out of it by saying that same thing but she insisted that we go. I’m still very sorry, stupid, dum, and an idiot for doing this. I didn’t want her to get hurt. she exclaimed through whimpers and tears. @Slushie

(Oops, didn’t see that.) Skykit skidded to a stop at almost hit the cat in front of her. She backed away and then gave up. Ugh, why am I so stupid! I should’ve just played mossba,k or something like all the other NORMAL kits. She dropped her head and gave up. Goosefury, I’m sorry. We didn’t mean to do anything bad, it’s just SO BORING in the nursery! I... I didn’t mean to put wavekit in any harm.. We made sure that nothing bad would happen, and there was gonna be a bigger cat to help us if we were in trouble.”@Slushie

Troutspring sat himself down beside her, close enough to see the fish beneath the water, but not too close as to scare them off. "Now, fishing can be tricky," he mewed after a moment. "You have to time it almost perfectly; wait until you see one flash underwater a few mouse-lengths away from you, don't wait until they are directly in front of you--and keep in mind they can slip away easily and quickly."

To demonstrate, he paused a heartbeat, spotting some movement just out of reach; he didn't wait for long and shot forward ahead of time as it tried to swim past, flipping it up fast out of the water with his paw and holding it down firmly so it didn't flop itself back in.

The white tom followed the dirt path to his destination without any stops or turns. He made sure to stay underneath the trees' crown shades as the sun beat down on their pelts. There was no wind, not even a small breeze. Just hot air. Yuck. Greenfur took a quick look at the pond feeling a pang of thirst. But there's no way he'd drink stagnant water. Head high, his black nostrils flared inhaling the scents around them. He expelled the rich scent of mice that's close by, hoping for something else that he can catch..something less like a rat or mouse. That's when his ears straighten up at the familiar must and nutty smell of a squirrel past the pond and a rabbit not too far away. Great. "Okay guys, we're splitting up. Dayheart you'll go east from here, I smelled mice..perhaps in the bushes somewhere. Sparrowpaw you'll go the opposite direction, and I'll go upwind. Let's meet back here at the pond. Sounds good?"

dayheart smiled. look at his clanmate, taking charge! he was so proud of them! the warrior sniffed the air interestedly. it was so... warm. like his big heart! well, he hoped it wasn't too big.. like, a little above average. yeah, that should be about right! that didn't change the fact that dayheart could feel the heat, and he could feel the life slowllllyyy fading out of him. fun! that was a nice way to die! that is, if there was a fun way to die. "hrm.... so west.. that's like.." dayheart whirled around. "thatta way!" he declared happily. "splitting up... like scooby doo! fun!! east is a nice direction! it's very... east-y. yes, east-y! sounds really good! thank you, greenfur! should i uh.. should i go, like, now???" the warrior wondered out loud, wide-eyed and curious as always. "oooh, and you're right! there is a micey smell. kind of." he took a long, lOUD sniff. "yup, that's mice. i think."

Fernpaw did a small jump of happiness. Yay! I caught a fish! She may have missed the first one, but not the second! "Now what do we do? Take the fish to the freshkill pile?"
