Oaksting wanted to cry, but instead most of the trip back to camp had been him hissing and yowling in pain from the rough trek.

There was no escaping how much pain he was in, how agonizing it was to have crushed legs again.. it was only a stroke of luck he wasn't dead. And he couldn't eben be grateful he was alive-- not when.. he made things worse..

Useless no good gimp.

"Just leave me to the coyotes," he hissed loudly as he was carried into the den. "I'm more of a burden than I ever was and.. WindClan deserves better than that." Oaksting couldn't even see a bright side to this ordeal. At least, not now.

"Who says I'm sticking around here when you get a new leader." Twilightstar retorts, "I'll become a rogue and go exploring beyond the clans."
She had thought about exploring when she was a young kit. However, recalling that exploring required a lot of movement, she had given it up. Older and not as lethargic as she had been in her kittenhood, the dream did dance around in her head. Yet she was aware that it was nothing more than a dream, she had tied herself to WindClan for life.
"You could come with me, but only if you agreed to carry me around when I get tired and did most of the hunting." It wouldn't be coming true any time soon, but at least she could play with it.
She gives the warrior a funny look when he explains why cats used flowers to express their affection.
"Okay, I still don't get it." she sighs, mildly defeated on that. "Love is far from simple, it is very complexed and several different forms of it. Just because it can be given freely doesn't mean it is always wanted. Plus it's ever-changing, cats fall in and out of love, give and take back their love, all the time." Twilightstar meowed from a logical standpoint, amused with what Rushingmoor seemed to think of it.
"You sound like a hopeless romantic who's going to get his heartbroken." She ridiculed, finding that making a grown cat blush was strangely adorable.
"I look forward to seeing who will sweep you off your feet." Twilightstar smirked, amused with this talk of love. It was not a topic she brought up often if at all.
"I'll keep that in mind, and make sure to blame you when my mate asks why I chuck rocks at them." Her tone was sarcastic and full of mirth. She had no intention of getting a mate, but she hadn't any intentions of getting Parasite either. She's slowly come to terms with being considered the youngster's parental figure, he was still not allowed to call her mama though. If a mate happened to stumble across her paws one day, she'd take them the same way she took in Parasite.
"I don't care if want to play make-believe." she scoffs, having no clue why in the world he wanted the clan to think he was interested in her.
"It seems more like trouble to me, but since I will not be making an idiot of myself you'll be the one in the awkward situation." Twilightstar swipes with a front paw to lightly cuff him for making weird faces at her.
"You're the one setting up my coup, I can't tell you who should overthrow me." her tone was dry but her eyes darted away thoughtfully.
"You are way easier to please then that Snippy medicine cat." It was true, he was, Rushingmoor was a little easier to talk to as well. Then again, Rushingmoor didn't bring up heavy topics that made her second guess herself either.
"I'll take care of the tournament," She answered, a little depressed that it seemed the clan was rather clueless about tunneling. Twilightstar would have to see that the this new team learned and taught it to the apprentices. She didn't need every cat to learn, but it might nice if a few could do it.
"I'm not sure how well Brindlejaw would do keeping order and track of all the cats. It will be less of a headache if I'm in charge of it." Twilightstar felt she did an okay job of keeping track of the cats in her clan.
"You should learn how to do it that way I have someone to refer to when teaching the others. I'll learn with you, just to be safe." Not a new skill she wanted to learn, but there was also a reason that WindClan stopped learning it. If she was going to try and bring it back she should make sure it's safe.

Has anyone ever told this tom that he comes on way too strong? This was probably why he didn't have many friends(or so she assumed) and she found him so much like a kitten. A cat who used their head and was actually mature would understand that making demands with no authority and anything to back it up would only make them look like a fool. Still, he had done better than she had expected.
"Well, since you helping the elders, I haven't heard anything from the queens about you causing trouble in the nursery, and you even made up with Skypaw. These are all things that I'm glad to hear and something you should be proud of." Twilightstar decided to give the young tom a moment to bask in something nice.
"You did a good job showing some maturity when you stepped up and agreed to help Skypaw out with anyone asking. So I know you can do it when you want to." she purred softly before carrying on with some criticism.
"However, coming in here and making demands like this makes me want to leave you as a kit for a little longer." It felt like they were going in circles here.
"You can come barging in here, all huff and puffy, expecting me to do whatever you want for no reason all you want. But in the end, I am the Clan Leader and you are not. If I want to leave you as a kit I can, you don't seem to get that." Twilightstar told him somberly. She was doubting he'd understand what it was she was trying to make clear to him. "I'm not unreasonable, though. As politely and I'll see what I can do about finding you a new mentor and returning you to apprentice status."

Her ears snap to attention as Wrenwing makes his presence known. His news was a little concerning. "Did you happen to get the kit's name?" Twilightstar wasn't overly worried about the matter. However, this was something to let Duskstar know so she could handle it properly. "I doubt you'd hurt a kit," she adds, though it was nice to hear that he was careful with the trespasser. she didn't see many if any of her warriors as cats who would hurt kits. She held faith in them there. "Did you get her back over to ThunderClan without any problems?"

Heathernose sat beside Oaksting once he was placed in the medicine den, not wanting to leave until the tom was sought to. His statement surprised her and the tortoiseshell flattened her ears.

“Oh hush! You have served Windclan for many moons and now it’s our turn to serve you. Besides, no cat is useless! You can still share your stories and help around camp. There is more to running a camp than being a warrior.”

Heathernose knee that her encouragement would likely fall flat but she tried her best. Frankly, it was hard to comfort someone in this situation. Having to retire to the elder’s den early was something that nearly every warrior feared. The chronic pain likely didn’t make it any easier and now he’d likely have even more- not to mention the current pain of his mangled legs.

"I'm awake!" Sparrowkit called as she scrambled to sit up from her resting position. The brown and white kit stared up at her daddy with wide, curious eyes. "Are we going to do something, Papa?"

Wrenwing shook his head, "No, I didn't catch her name, but I know that she has fluffy grey fur with black and white flecks." he mewed. He was glad that twilightstar had some faith in him. "I'm glad you don't think I'd stoop that low" he chuckled.

Furrowing his eyebrows in deep thought, he went silent for a couple seconds. Clearing his throat, he mewed, "I apologize if I'm acting like I have a right to know things that are supposed to be between leaders and their deputies, but- if you don't mind me asking- what is going to be done about this?" he scrunched up his nose slightly, and used one of his paws to wipe away the stray droplets of blood that were slowly seeping from the scratches on his muzzle.

Sighing, he mewed, "Right as I put her down, she bolted off into thunderclan territory like a startled rabbit." he frowned a bit, "Oh, in case you were wondering, I was just holding onto her scruff so I could try and get her to tell me why she was in her territory, though you can see how well that worked out" he let out an airy laugh, closing his eyes briefly.

after a moment of thought, he looked back at her, "Well, I was thinking of walking her back into camp, to make sure she didn't stray further into our territory, but I decided against it, as I didn't want duskstar to think I was telling her how to punish the kit" he explained.

"Okay!" Sparrowkit chirped. She liked Songkit. She liked all her littermates, actually. She wasn't sure which of them she liked the best, but anyone who liked playing was fun to be around. "Wha'cha wanna play, Songkit?" Sparrowkit asked curiously.
