Lionstar was wondering when his brother was going to pop in, though he flattened his ears at the nickname. "Don't call me that!" He muttered angrily, bristling his spikey pelt.

"What," he mocked lightly, fully aware Koistream had been chatting away with Gentlethunder, "can't find a Jerkboob willing to help you out? You must've scared him away faster than that she-cat you were chasing!" A feat in itself, given Jerkbrains was denser than packed dirt. "Look, we don't have many Clan-mates down a leg. You could risk your chances with Otterface.. which might kill you with how loony she's been, or you're going to eat dirt training with a cat with four legs regardless. Pick your poison."

"Aww someone jelly because you haven't got any friends?" Koistream snorted, speaking in the way you would to a new kitten, but it was all in good nature.

He hobbled over, practically throwing himself on top of the Tom. Lionstar did not make a bad pillow! Maybe that's why Fawnsqueak was so in love with him? Koistream wondered if they were still gaying it up or if something catastrophic had happened to burst their little bubble.

Talking of love, the butterflies in his belly began to flutter their wings as he heard the mention of Otterstone. A forbidden fruit, dare he take the bite?

"You know you could help me out, you know. Or are you scared I'll take a life?" His meows were completely playful as he pushed his good paw into Lions cheek, Koistream letting a happy purr rumble from his chest the entire time, vibrating against his brother.

Sootkit entered the lionsden, twists in her stomach and feeling a bit dizzy. "U-um, Lionstaw?" She said, her head low and her tail droopy. "I know we'we in trouble, but I came here to apologize. And to tell you what I'll do to help around the clan so I can show I'm really sowwy." She had came alone, because is she got in trouble again, she didn't want her friends to be blamed. Well, except for maybe Reedkit. She looked up for one quick second, and then her eyes flicked back to light paws. Hopefully he'll like the ideas I came up with...

Okay, so this was way better than Turtlepaw had expected, so far. She wasn't being yelled at or anything. Really, she'd been expecting the absolute worst. She stepped forward, her ear raising some as she organized her thoughts. "C'overwish, she... Hadn' taken ou' of camp... ye'" If she spoke slower, she sounded clearer. At least, she thought so. She just needed to let the leader know she'd yet to be taken out by Cloverwish, apprenticeship wasn't much different than being a kit so far.

Splashkit followed Sootkit into the nursery, and stood beside her adopted sister. Yeah Lionstar. We're really sorry, and we want to prove to you that we can be apprentices at the right time. We thought we could help around the camp. @BILL. @StealthWarrior

Stealthkit trailed them both, she stood at Sootkit's side and agreed, "We'll do anything!"

As the three stooges trickled into his den, Lionstar quirked his eyebrow at them. So these must be the kits Bumblebelly screamed at him about-- minus one.

"I'm going to be upfront with you three." He would let these words soak in as a precursor as he played with how he wanted to approach this. "Your attempt at leaving camp was reckless and careless. You not only endangered your own lives, but the lives of your friends and anyone else who overheard you and thought it'd be a good idea. Our territory has been swarming with hawks this last moon. A full grown cat was picked up and taken away in the middle of our camp." Despite her name, Ravenpaw was once a warrior who had disgraced her rank and demoted. Even so, she was a lot larger and more capable at protecting herself than the kitten army who thought they could take on the world.

And now she was dead.

"You can be as sorry as you want, but it will not change the decision to delay your ceremonies as punishment. You are all very fortunate Bumblebelly stopped you before you went out. It's unlikely any of you would have returned alive." And to make matters worse, if RiverClan found any of them it'd likely only just be a leg.

Lionstar sighed as he stared at the kits. "If you want to help around camp, perhaps you should see if the elders need anything. I'm sure Bitterthorn and the others would appreciate your company and.. if you three remain on good behavior, perhaps we can reduce how long your ceremony is delayed by."

Interesting! Didn't Sootflare have issues with her and patrols..? This wasn't looking good for her, considering she just recently was allowed to rejoin.. Lionstar should have left her rejected if this was how she wanted to repay him for his kindness.

His claws flexed in the sand, tearing up the loose earth as he leaned toward the apprentice. "Well, we can't have that, can we? I'm calling a Clan meeting soon.. we'll get you a new mentor and I'll make sure Cloverwish knows her behavior toward you will not be tolerated. You deserve better than a mentor who has decided to ignore her duties."

Sootkit nodded. "Yeah, we'll go over there right now." she understood better now if why she was in such big trouble. Lionstar was a good leader, and Sootkit was happy with his direct answer. She flicked her tail, motioning for Stealthkit and Splashkit to follow her.
