Forestkit seeing Petalkit's dissapointed look said, " I can help for a bit?Maybe?" Even though Forestkit didn't want to she felt bad about them getting punished and not her. Forestkit yawned at the end of her sentence.

Softbrair sighed, happy the kits had calmed down. They could deal with upset kits, but they didn't like rowdy ones. They were happy Petalkit and Lightningkit weren't kicking up a fuss because of the punishment and that Forestkit didn't go crying over Adderkit at all.

"Okay, Gladekit, if you're fine you can be on your way but you better be staying out of trouble! Valleykit, you might want to get Lionwhisker and Condorpaw to clean up those scratches, infections are a nasty thing..." They wouldn't want Valleykit becoming an apprentice late because she was stuck with untreated wounds.

"I'll be taking Adderkit to them now, hopefully, he'll know how to deal with him." The white speckled cat lowered their head to the mottled tom-kit, picking him up gently in their maw, making their way carefully to the medicine cat's den to not jostle Adderkit around.

Gladekit’s scratches didn’t feel too bad so she hadn’t felt the need to tell Softbriar they were bad. At the deputy’s order, Gladekit dipped her head to them and responded,

“Will do! Come on, Valley, I’ll go with you to get your scratches checked out!”

She nudged her sister lightly, not wanting to abandon her to brave the medicine den alone.

Valleykit looked to her sister after Softbriar had left with Adderkit. "I was gonna make you come with me whether you wanted to or not!" She mewed playfully, but it was mostly because Gladekit's scratches worried her more than her own. "You might as well get checked out too, ya know. I think yours are worse than mine." She offered as a simple explanation before leading the way to the den, flicking Gladekit on the nose as she turned.

“You could try!”

Gladekit laughed and booped Valleykit back. She pushed up against her sister, fur brushing as they walked, and used her tail tip to poke Valley’s shoulder as a joke to make her look the other way. She looked back at her scratches and shrugged, not really being able to see them since they were on her back.

“Ok, but I’m sure I’d be fine without getting them checked.”
