Sagewhisker examined him through slightly narrowed eyes, "why, yes. I do agree" she responded, "should we get going now?" she asked him. Though she didn't trust him all that much yet, she still wanted to help feed the clan, so why not? She got up from her basking spot and padded over to him.

Sagewhisker was quickly thrown off of ashpaw back, and she landed swiftly on her paws, though she stumbled just a bit. Nodding in approval, she mewed, "good job. Though, that is a relatively beginner move, so we'll move into something more challenging, unless you want to work on that some more" she raised an eyebrow at him.

Sagewhisker nodded, "understandable" she shrugged. She took a moment to think for a bit, "Well, next we are going to go over the half-turn belly rake. It is a bit hard to do for some apprentices, though I doubt you'll have that much trouble with it. What you do is go into your side and slide under your opponents belly, and quickly take it with your claws. The trick is to slide out from underneath your opponents belly as soon as possible, so they don't have as much time to react." she explained.

Stormheart nodded “I see no reason to wait, the clan is always in need of good with all the kits, apprentices, elders and such.” He saggy ex padding towards the exit of the camp. No harm in more fresh kill and more personal time with his clan mates

Sagewhisker nodded, "Okay then. Let's get going" she mewed. She padded out into the territory, briefly glancing over her shoulder to see if he was following.

Ribbitpaw glowered slightly as Mouseleap went along and mentioned being on the smaller side. He scrunched up his nose a bit. Smaller side?? He hardly considered himself on the smaller side. Not the largest cat out there, that was for sure, but he had assumed he was at least... average? If that was a thing. He wanted to make a sarcastic comment on it, but decided that it would be better to refrain from doing so. They'd already wasted so much time on small things like that, it would be better to just brush it off and get on with the lesson.

Plopping down briefly, the tabby tom listened as his mentor gave a brief overview of what they'd be trying to accomplish today. Works every time, huh? "How can you know it works every time?" he challenged. "Surely there's got to be some time when it didn't go right." Welp, there it was again. Just moments ago he'd promised himself to stop throwing in blunt little remarks, but here he was again, letting another slip from his mouth. It was simply something he did without thinking. Just a part of his character.

Mouseleap furrowed her eyebrows and held back her frustration. Icestar probably had to deal with 28936338386393749 cats like Ribbitpaw challenging her every word and movements. Did every mentor have to deal with an apprentice who challenges them constantly. Taking a deep breath to relax her nerves, Mouseleap would be patient with this apprentice.

“Hmm, how do you think we managed to win most of the raids we do? By ambushing, the other times we lost was when cats got impatient and decided to storm off into the heart of the other clans’. Now, are we going to practice debating every word a cat says or are we going to train, Ribbitpaw?” Mouseleap chirped while raising a brow. “I mean like, I could teach you some of the insults that annoy the mouse bile out of cats. Your choice.”
