snowmist looked gratefully at duskstar. she looked at sycamorerain. please be okay. she thought, pawing at the branch as well. she hated trees. she hated hated HATED them. the grey and white molly felt smoke clog her nose, and her sight blurred. it was like black ghosts, swarming the camp. she coughed, her eyes growing watery.

Blizzardpaw couldn't help but stare at the blazing flames with wide blue and green eyes. It was the stench of smoke that made him realize what really was happening. "Fire!" He yelled as he turned to run away. Abruptly stopping in the middle of the clearing he turned to the warriors' den and bolted over. "Silversky, are you in there? We need to leve now, there's a fire!"

Silversky was, in fact, unconscious at the time- knocked out by the presence of smoke in the air. She laid on the floor in an awkward heap.

He let out a breath of relief as she was seemingly snapped out of whatever trance she had been in and moved toward him. His eyes flickered back toward the apprentices' den, back to Cormorantpaw, and his chest tightened, though he couldn't tell if it was because of the smoke or because he was terrified.
Buckbranch glanced back at Primrosewhisper, lifted a paw as if to follow, and then shook his head. "Can't," he rasped. "I have to get my apprentice. Have to get his friend. And you need to get out."
He took a deep, shuddering breath, then turned and holed into the flames, "CORMORANTPAW! SWEETPAW! WE NEED TO GO, NOW!"
