Icestar grinned at the apprentice's cold anticipation. He would make a fine ShadowClan warrior.
"Very well," She nodded to him, then turned to face his mentor as well. If he wanted his assessment as soon as possible, she'd be happy to oblige. If she scheduled it for today, giving him not much time to prepare, it would test his readiness for anything."Your assessment will be at sunset in the training hollow."
The leader then turned and padded away, tail flicking behind her as she left. She loved warrior assessments.

Ebonypaw nodded and got themself into a crouch. They circled around their larger opponent. They waited for just the right moment to run underneath her and try and push up with their head and paws.

Icestar kept a close eye on her apprentice as she circled around her. When she attacked, the leader was ready. In a quick motion, as Ebonypaw darted underneath her, she dropped all her weight downwards in an attempt to squish her.

"Remember to attack your opponent's back legs," she reminded.
"Scratch, bite, whatever you can manage to do. The goal is to first knock the wind out of them, and second to take their legs out from underneath them. Always assume your enemy has a counter-attack planned, like what I just did. Try again."

Icestar shifted in her nest when she heard her adopted niece call out with that little nickname she'd given her. The leader wasn't a fan of being called "auntie Icystar", but she wasn't bothered enough to actually say anything about it. She simply rolled her eyes before Duskpaw could actually see her.

"What is it?" She asked, now turning to face her with muted curiosity.

"Who's there?" The leader growled as an unfamiliar scent hit her nose. Her fur bristled slightly and she crept towards the entrance, before Cascadespirit entered. The leader had hissed, but stopped once she recognized him.
"Oh. It's you. Where in the Stars have you been?" Her growl may have stopped, but her eyes still stared at him through narrowed lids, guarded with suspicion.

"Shrewpaw! Comeee on, we're going hunting!" Driftstep called. They wanted to get their apprentice's training started and to see if they were going to be capable of actually learning something. From their first view of the apprentice he did seem willing to learn, but you never knew if they were easily distracted or anything. So flicking their tail impatiently the large brown tabby cat, moved back and forth in their woobly gait. They weren't exact fans of their disease and issue but they would do their best to teach despite it. At least it made them unpredictable in battle and they hoped they would be able to share their skills with this young one and make a warrior that Shadowclan could be proud of. "We're going hunting today, battle training the day after," they stated shortly. This was going to be interesting to say the least.

Coming Driftstep! Shrewpaw called, bounding over from the far side of camp. Hearing them say that they were going hunting, Shrewpaw was curious.Where are we going? And what are we hunting? He was eager to learn, and really wanted to impress his mentor. @Arie
