Letting out an "oof," and being pushed somewhat off balance, Driftstep looked up at their apprentice with eyes glinting. "Good jooob Shrewpaw!" The apprentice had succeeded in what they'd been working on and they were proud of him. "You did well! You got this dooooown now." Now it was time to move onto something else though, but their crossed eyes were still glinting with pride. They were a large... and heavy cat and Shrewpaw a new and young apprentice, so for him to succeed. It was a job well done. "Now... we gotta practice something elseeeee. Try to jump for my back! I'll be trying to evade you, but try to aim a jump at my back, even if you don't succeed this will be practice!" With that they moved out and began moving around Shrewpaw slowly, awaiting the apprentice's jump.

"Okay let's work on swiping then." Creekwind loosened her shoulders before giving the demonstration. "We can start off easy unless you feel like going faster in the lesson. So raise your paw up high as your nose and extend outward in front of you. Start off slow and then speed it up. When you feel comfortable enough switch it to your other paw so in battle you can be experienced in using both." Going through the motions a few times for Frogpaw to see and then using her left paw.

Frogpaw nodded along, watching carefully as Creekwind demonstrated. While she was keen on having some fun, she still wanted to learn and decided to push away her urges to find a prank to pull. For now. She was tired of being an apprentice sitting around all day with nothing to do. "Alright," she replied, raising her paw like she was told and attempting the motion. No... that didn't seem quite right. It was more of a jab than a swipe. She tried again. And again and again until it felt right, "Like that?"

"It's not you, although I'm willing to bet if you keep talking I'll fall asleep on my paws," Bravedawn muttered. Her ears twitched at the old age comment, but she didn't respond to it. No need to give Dreampaw something else to work with.
Then her eyes narrowed, and she just barely managed to keep herself from rolling them in response. "Yep, attack me now. I really wouldn't ask you if I was going to have you wait."

Shrikekit laughed at his sisters slip walking forward to stand closer to her only to trip over his own tail tucked beneath him. "Ooof!" He rapidly tried to scramble back up ears slightly pink and grumbling before moving on to the next bit. "Right from there you just swipe or try and bite! But you gotta keep balanced so you can jump backwards or to the side at any time, they were jumping around a lot while I watched." Shrikekit crouched down into the stance himself and tried out a couple swipes imagining a fake enemy to try and get a better feel for it.

Not much had been going on around the Clan, and Falcondive was getting antsy.

He wanted to get out and do something.. but the more he traversed the territory the more paranoid about missed traps he became, and he let out a short hiss as he moved from the camp entrance to hang out near the edge of the clearing.

It was easy, sometimes, to forget they had been there. But being recently reminded of them made him tense, uncertain, and.. he was struggling to come around the idea they were truly gone.

So there he crouched, watching the Clan and waiting for himself to force a trip out into the territory. The faded ache of his tail reminded him that might take a while.

Stormfly growled as she pushed put of the nursery. She was getting so tired of having to nurse those stupid babies. Why couldn't one of the other queens do it?
While she snarled and bared her teeth at the thought, her eye caught sight of a dark pelt, a cat crouched by the edge of clearing, obviously frustrated. When she turned to him fully, she recognized him as Falcondive.
An idea formed in her mind. She really wasn't supposed to leave camp because of those damn useless furballs, but no one could be mad at her if she had company and was out hunting.

She stalked up to him, tail slowly swishing behind her. "Falcondive, I was about to go hunting. Will you join me?" Her tone made it obvious this was less of a request and more of a thinly veiled demand; she wanted out of camp and she wasn't going to let him dodge out of being her ticket to freedom.

Ribbitpaw's eyes widened as he realized both Foggypaw and Mouseleap were heading straight for him. Thinking quickly, he hopped right out of the way, not wanting to get trampled by the incoming procession. The only good thing he saw he was getting out of this so far, was the brief pointers on insults Mouseleap gave. Perhaps he'd give it a try later on in the session. But for now, he was waiting for Foggypaw to finally catch his mentor so they could move on to whatever was next. Hopefully, he'd at least get to learn a few new moves today.
