Fallenkit looked around for another kit to sit with. She started wandering around looking for a kit, ruffling her calico fur in the greenleaf heat.

Duckkit wandered out of the nursery, his nose runny and small sneezes escaping him every so often. He sat near the nursery and the other queens, and he intended not to interrupt the meeting. If his sneezing and sniffing become too much of a distraction, he would go back into the nursery, no questions asked. He subconsciously lifted a paw to rub his nose, and then started to eye his messy fur. Eh, he could groom it later.

Duckkit awkwardly cleared his throat after a kit walked up to him. Wait, what was her name again? Oh, she just said it. "Duckkit" he quietly responded, rubbing his nose yet again. His eyes flicked away from the molly, and focused on the rock where Lionstar was. Stars he hoped the meeting would start soon.

Fallenkit sat down beside him waiting for the meeting to start. she wanted to talk but didn't think she should I wonder if Duckkit likes to play. I should ask him after the meeting. she thought. She settled down and waited for Lionstar to start.

"I know you didn't choose to, but..... you do really good work. If you ever need help, do not hesitate to holler for me, ok?"
She was never close with Fawnsqueak, but with a clan as large as their own, he needed the help. And... she was also intrested in learning to heal for partially selfish reasonsl. She had lost so many, too many, cats close to her. Maybe she'd lose less cats if she could heal?

Robinwing took a seat near the rest of the cats, quickly glancing around to see if her apprentice was anywhere around. She then started to wonder what this meeting was going to be about.

Although Lionstar's first instinct was to start with the apprentices and kits, he figured.. perhaps he should jump right into it.

"As most of you are aware, Otterstone has resigned from her position as our medicine cat. Fawnsqueak has filled the vacancy.

"When I appointed Otterstone as medicine cat, I had high expectations that she would be the beginning of a new era of healers. Shiverpetal, despite his extraordinary skills, left us with nothing.. and as a result, I hoped Otterstone would be able to set a new foundation for our healing practices. In some way, she did.

"But the role was not meant for her, something I think we all can recognize without speaking more on it. Otterstone, your name no longer fits who you are. It was given in the hopes you would be the rock that holds the Clan together, stronger than ever.. but that time has passed.

"Step forward to receive your new name."

Lionstar kept his gaze on the tortoiseshell warrior, curious to see how she reacted to this. He hadn't said anything too much on her failures.. so she couldn't gripe about that. The sooner they could move on from this headache the better.
