Skunkpaw looked up from where she was sitting after scenting a familiar scent. She watched as Splashfury padded up to her. It made her happy to see this cat again. They had only talked once and she really wanted to get to know her more. She was the first cat to ever talk to her. "It's been a little over a moon.", she agreed.

The black and white apprentice smiled at her. She really wanted to talk to her. She was getting a little tired f her mentor. They've been doing a lot f training lately. "So how have you been?", Skunkpaw asked.

He flattened his fur and tried to act normal despite his pleasure at the thought of sitting close to Splashfury. Ah what's wrong with my mind! She's just a friend...

Splashfury smiled at his thoughtfulness. It was quite rare these days among warriors to have that trait. “That sounds like a wonderful idea!” Splashfury responded as she cut a good sized chunk for an elder. She placed it near the entrance of the den so an elder could pick it up if they wish.

Splashfury wasn’t sure why she loved the thoughtful trait of Reedwhisker. She found it.. attractive?

Splashfury gave a purr as they settled together to talk. “I’m doing pretty good. I just finished mentoring recently so now the apprentice I train is a warrior. What about you?” smiled Splashfury as she meowed.

Skunkpaw was probably the first friend she had considering that Splashfury wasn’t very social. Even with her overprotective side of her clan, she didn’t get to know a lot of the cats.

Shaking his head in a 'no' Silentpaw tried to choose the correct words to talk. "No, he was stopped by some other warriors who needed him. So he told me to go on with the report so then he could do his duties before joining us." Silentpaw explained as he looked around for Driftblaze to see when his mentor would join them.

Skunkpaw nodded to her in a friendly way. "What was your apprentice's name?", she wondered. The molly was curious if she had seen them around or not. It was always fascinating to know these things.

"I've been traing really hard. My mentor Eveninglight takes me out almost every day. I finally got a break today and it feels nice. I am getting bored though.", she added.

Splashfury was about to say Coastpaw but wanted to incorporate their warrior name. “They are now Coastbreeze, they did go missing for a bit but they joined back the clan.” Splashfury shared proudly.

The warrior perked up her ears at Skunkpaw’s report about their own training experience so far. “That’s nice to hear that you have an active mentor. Those are pretty rare now a days. If you wish, we could go hunting.” Splashfury offered knowing it was boring not having anything on her paws.

He blinked. "Uh yeah um Stealthpaw's a great apprentice. She's learning quickly!" There was warmth in his voice. "And you'll have your paws full with Shinepaw soon! Congratulations by the way! Lionstar seems to have a great respect for your mentoring skills!"

He took a bite of the tuna with satisfaction as he felt it melt in his mouth. And when was the last time he had shared a meal?

Lionstar was getting sick of ThunderClan.

At first, it was fine. A few days of rest went a long ways toward recovery. But it had almost been A HALF MOON and they were still there. Sitting at HIS pond and STINKING THE PLACE UP. It hardly looked like they were doing anything either!

Lionstar knew, though.. that it wasn't the Clan's fault for not doing anything.. not really? It was the LEADERSHIP. Disorganized, dysfunctional, CARELESS.

Ugh, just thinking about it made him ANGRIER. HE HATED SQUATTERS.

But no, no, no. As much as Lionstar wanted to go in and start kicking cats out, he determined perhaps it'd be best for ThunderClan to hear from someone else. So instead of giving into his temptations, he sank his claws into the ground and held his tongue. He had an idea..

"Sootflare!" he called for his deputy, not waiting to continue. "I want you to go to Cattail Pond. Find that gray tabby tom.. I don't know his name [ Rainywhisker, @/implimm], the orange eyed cat who helped bring some of the injured into our camp.

"Since Duskstar is gone and her deputy is Stars-know-where, I want him to pull ThunderClan out of our territory. I don't care if it's just across the border. I want them out of our markers. They've been sitting on their asses without doing anything to improve their situation for almost a half moon, and I'm not going to pander to this behavior. And I don't want you to, either. We have a Clan to feed and look after.. we don't need them lounging around our land." He didn't give two rats if Duskstar and Softbriar had to struggle with finding their Clan-mates. They should have picked up the slack as soon as their Clan needed them, not rely on another Clan.

They weren't allies. Lionstar had done this out of kindness alone and his distaste for those who didn't want to help themselves made him less inclined to offer them assistance in the future. "Get going," he growled. "If they give you problems we can drive them out the "hard" way." He didn't want to do that, but would if necessary. ThunderClan had done nothing to make him want them to stay.

"Oh, and one last thing. When they're gone, round up the kits, apprentices, and any warrior willing to lend a paw. I want you to do another swimming lesson for the younger cats of the Clan so they can be more equipped for the future. The more our Clan knows how to swim, the better.." If they could get the queens in on this, perhaps.. they could be the ones to train the kits in the future. Would it be possible to dig out a basin in camp for kit swimming practice? Interesting.. perhaps he'd look into that while Sootflare was handling the children.

Amberkit stepped out of the nursery. She looked around in wonder all over again. All these cats! She stepped up to Lionstar. "Wow, who are you"?
