Stealthpaw shot her mentor a death glare. She tried again and swam all the way out to Reedwhisker. "See? I can do it! I just didn't want to embarrass you by being better at swimming then you are!" she gave her chest a few indignant licks before remembering that she was in the water and caught her self before she slipped all the way under. @esa

"Tell yourself what you want!" Reedwhisker rolled his eyes. "Now let's try treading water. You have to stay floating in one space for as many heartbeats as you can!" Reedwhisker began, fondly watching his apprentice's attempts. He never thought he would grow so attached to her. She had seemed so immature as a kit but now she was really learning quickly!
Instead of making swimming motions, Stealthpaw started pushing down on the water. “Am I doing it right?” she asked Reedwhisker, her strength starting to wane. @esa

"You were doing just fine earlier! Don't change your paw movement. The aim is to use as little energy as possible. This way you can save enough power to fight in water too!" Reedwhisker chided. "If you practise enough, we can try diving for the crayfish at the bottom of the river!"
The message was loud and clear: Lionstar's kindness wouldn't be extending into a prolonged invitation to remain idly on his territory. And, why should it? Looking around once Sootflare departs, the gray-furred tom wonders how many of his Clanmates were as anxious or as eager to go home as he was himself. Rainywhisker finds himself feeling relieved that the tom who opened the border to them a pawful of sunrises ago also knew that he had to put his foot down on his aid. ThunderClan wouldn't heal unless ThunderClan worked for it themselves.
Copper eyes blink thoughtfully as he remembers his apprentice. Truthfully between escorting their Clanmate over for medical attention and now, he hadn't spotted Dogpaw. Sleep pulled him under too many times for him to pinpoint the elusive she-cat. And now, he wasn't entirely sure if she'd gone with Duskstar on that patrol earlier. He forces down a disappointed sigh, the disappointment not in Dogpaw but in himself for failing to keep an eye on her right now. He'd do better to get a moment with her soon to apologize.
But as for right this very moment, he had something bigger to do- Move an entire Clan. With a deep breath, the warrior weaves his way through the tall grass and tries to scope out a decent place to grab their attention. There weren't really many vantage points around the pond, but after seasons of greenleaf storms, there were a few nice and weathered bits of logs about. Rainywhisker scales one and turns, facing those of them who made it out of the blaze that became of their camp.
"ThunderClan!" the tom meows, drawing himself up taller and putting a bit of strength behind his voice. It fills the clearing around the pond. "Please."
After waiting for their attention for a couple of long heartbeats, Rainywhisker clears his throat. "As you know, Duskstar has gone to assess our forest for a new camp. But we have been visited by Sootflare earlier today. Lionstar is asking that we return to our own territory now that we have calmed down and recovered from what happened to us. Most of us are able to, he sees that and so do I."
Pausing again, the tom wonders briefly how to go about wrangling everybody up and packing them out. His tail sweeps over the grass in frustration as he contemplates his words. "I don't want to split us up, but I will ask that a few warriors who feel well enough head up the Clan, and everyone else will be lending a paw to our queens and their young, elders, and the newest apprentices. We'll follow the stream up into our territory again, I do not believe that the fire reached so far and it should be safe to bunker down along the stream bed." Fresh water seemed like an important factor when they'd all breathed in that heavy smoke.
"Gather yourselves quickly, please. Lionstar has showed us great kindness, now he and RiverClan deserve the same. Anybody who needs help or has something to say, please come over to me now. Otherwise, we're off."
Flicking his tail, Rainywhisker finally exhales with a touch of pride before sliding off of the wood he'd perched upon. He keeps an eye out for anyone- Honestly he wouldn't be surprised if some even challenged him as to why he wasn't passing the word on to Softbriar. He didn't really know, either. But they had to get moving, and he wasn't going to sit and wait with his Clanmates for their leader and deputy to come back around.
[ Following this post, I will be creating a separate thread that will be set in ThC Territory for the Clan to gather in and make temporary camp.]

I’m confused. You said your apprentices which I should be one. I’m literally going to be seven moons tomorrow! And I don’t understand. he muttered. @implimm
Deep orange eyes fall to the three young cats who had found their way over to him rather quickly. To the one talking about how old he was, he nods patiently. "We're just going home now, okay?" the warrior mews. To the others, he blinks. "ThunderClan has to return to our own territory. It was nice of Lionstar to let us live here for a little while, but this isn't our home. It'll be alright. I'm sure you guys would rather be back under the trees again. I know I would."

Come on Leopardpaw! Fishfin called, heaving himself back up. We're heading home now! Trying to sound cheerful, he began limping towards the forest. @Lynxpaw
Does anyone need help? Fleetwind called, ready to help anyone. He wanted to make sure everyone got back to their territory safely.
With a grunt, Lilyleap began dragging herself towards the forest. She hadn't seen anyone else start going, but she was going to need a head start.
