Rosepaw instantly spun around, her leaf-green gaze glaring angrily at Leopardpaw. "It's Rosepaw, not Roachpaw," she hissed angrily. "Those canines must be giving you a speech impediment." Twistedpaw flinched. Why did Rosepaw have to be so open? As much as she disliked the dark red-orange apprentice, she didn't want to see a bloodbath. "She probably just wants to be left alone," she tried, her voice uncertain. Meanwhile, Rosepaw whipped around to glare at the deformed apprentice. "Oh, hush! It's bad enough that you're becoming a warrior, too!" she spat. Twistedpaw fell silent, glancing down at her paws.

The bulky cashmere couldn't help but frown. "Awh, bursting out at a cat with the age of an older warrior herself? Now that's not very dignified of a cat such as you, now is it?" Leopardpaw jeered. Ah, she was already beginning to enjoy this.

The silkily-furred apprentice's head snapped over her shoulder as - rather suddenly - Twilightstar stalked up to her. Ah, great - not this lazy lump of hair again.

"Now, now, Twilightstar. Since when have I ever brought up the thought of you completely forgetting? You were clearly angry with me back there in your den." The cashmere's slashed yellow eyes met levelly with the WindCult leader's as she, after a brief few seconds, proceeded on: "Believe me, it was not of my intentions to make WindClan look like a fool. Yet it appears that's what has happened nevertheless, and for that I guess I should apologize. At least I've learned my lesson about hurting my Clanmates - or so it seems, considering I dispatched that ShadowCult apprentice solely on the behalf of our revenge."

Shadykit padded in suddenly, her ratty black fur and green and pale yellow eyes giving her away.

Shockpaw's head swung toward Leopardpaw, eyes narrowing.
"Icestar is testy at the best of times and you went off and killed a Shadowclan apprentice?"
Their hackles raised and bared their teeth in a silent snarl at her.
Yeah, she'd attacked them and Smolderpaw, but when Twilightstar had given her a second chance, they were willing to let it slide, but keep an eye on her.
Now she's killed someone.
What if Twilightstar hadn't intervened when she had and that had been Smolderpaw? Or themself?
The idea that their friend could have died made them want to weep. He was a good cat and deserved far better than to murdered by some mange pelt.

The tom nodded briskly a few times. “A pack of coyotes, don’t know what lead them here but they all ganged up one night. It was a stupid blood bath. Twilightstar lost a life I’m pretty sure” He said quietly wrapping his tail round his paws and giving his chest a few good licks. It didn’t disturb him as much as it had a couple moons ago, the blood and what’s her face dying had plagued his waking thoughts and now? A small period in his brain was occupied by disturbing deaths he’d witnessed or.. done himself.

“Anyways. That brings me to a more personal topic I suppose. No mates. No kits.” he specifically looked at Coldamber for that one. A talk between himself her and her remaining kitten would be a tough one. If she couldn’t stick it out? He’d have to demote her days after he’d appointed her to the position and that was the last thing he wanted to do. Search for more medicine cats.

With another breath “basic rules right? That’s clear?” he was already getting a headache with that foreshadowing. “Anyways battle healing, it’s a stressful experience when all cats are running around like their heads were cut off or those who actually missed limbs pretended they were fine. Both equally bloody annoying. So you need to know how to order cats around. Don’t be afraid to do that or they’ll walk over ya as I’ve said before”

He adjusted now “here are the essentials. You’ll need them but will likely have to make due with cobwebs and moss if anything. We all know how to use cobwebs, apply over a bleeding wound. Maintain constant pressure, don’t pull it off and keep layering if it bleeds through. Marigold, chew it. You must chew the heck out of it. It tastes nasty but it needs to be a poultice in order to do what it needs to do.” he pushed the flower towards them to examine. ”it’s the most common infection fighter known to windclan. It’s a résiliant flower and can handle the wind and rain. But don’t take it for granted. We’ll go over other infection prevention later”

Again, the statement of no kits and mates was directed at her and she got the distinct sense it was less that she might want kits in the future and more so to do with Gullpaw. It wasn't a pleasant thought, but honestly made sense.
How could they deal with that, though? They couldn't make them not related. They couldn't make Gullpaw not her child. The relation would still be there, even if they tried to pretend it wasn't.
Quickly, though, he hopped right into explaining how to treat wounds in the middle of battle.
Moss, cobwebs, keep a constant pressure, layer up if needed.
Marigold, prevents infection, needs a lot of chewing.
She was still curious about the mushrooms he had used.
"I remember you put mushrooms on one of my wounds when I first was brought here. I'm guessing that would be for more severe cases and in less stressful conditions? Sorry it's off topic. I've been thinking about it for a while now."

Duskkit bounded out of the nursery as he heard Twilightstar, his tail flicking excitedly as he made his way to the group of gathering cats. He looked for Skyripple as he walked hoping to find her so he could sit with her.

"The nest was on one of the trees near the Thunderclan border. I just happened to get a little too up close and personal with the tree. As long as cats keep an eye and an ear out near the border, they should be fine." Quicksilver meowed. He gave a simple nod to let Coyotesnarl know he'd heard him about the bee stings. None were hurting too bad, so Quicksilver assumed he'd be fine. Once he was dismissed, the silver tabby gave Coyotesnarl a dip of his head then turned and padded away.
