Flarerunner smiled at their bickering, deciding against scolding Yewpaw again. He'll learn eventually, and if not then shame on him. She paused as they reached the burnt part of their territory. "We're getting close to the Thunderclan border," she meowed back to the two apprentices.

Quailpaw's ears drooped as she looked around This is where I got burnt
Yewpaw wrinkled his nose," All I smell is the burnt ashes, or is that what Thunderclan smells like?" ( He's smelling ashes not Thunderclan)

Flarerunner shook her head. "We probably won't be able to scent Thunderclan, as the ashes will cover up all their old scent." She paused as they reached where the scent marks used to be. "This is where it was," she murmured, eyes raking over the burnt trees ahead of them. "When everything grows back, and Thunderclan starts marking their territory again, then you'll know what they smell like." She turned, intent on leaving the scarred ground. "On to Riverclan we go!" She meowed, forcing a cheery tone.

Re: WindClan Clearing
Jasper stopped near the entrance. He sat beside a bush out of the way but still in the open. Where did Rabbitleap go? I was lucky enough to remember his sent. The black and white tom waited for a cat to come by or for Rabbitleap to catch up.

Leopardfoot led Foxpaw out of the camp and narrowed her eyes, "Let's go, we'll take a tour before we begin training." The she-cat hissed, leading him a ways away from the camp. The silver warrior growled, "This is where we'll be hunting the most. Also, Foxpaw, just because you're an ex loner don't think I'm taking it easy on you. Ever."

Foxpaw flinched at the hostility in his mentors voice "I didn't want you to" He tried to retort but he couldn't hide his true feelings. "What did I do to her, or did some cat bite her tail this morning?" he thought as he padded after her.

The tom was dumbfounded by the events that had snatched so many lives, and the fact that Dapplestar stepped down are him look on ward with fear for the future, especially when the new leader threw StarClan away. Hareskip's tail lashed in a sudden outburst, agrivation permeating from he tom. You should have spoken your opinion, you selfish prat!Hareskip scolded himself internally; he would never forgive himself for his actions that could have he led the future of the clan; his clan. The tom wanted to howl all of the hatred for himself and Singenight up to the stars; Hareskip wanted his ancestors to hear his pains, to hear what they were leaving. Though he knew that StarClan would never purposely leave, it felt as though they were evaporating without a fight; as though they had forgotten their long lost heritage.
Hareskip's orange muzzle twinged with worry; his clan was falling into the Dark Forest's paws, and he knew how troubling and harsh they could be. Hareskip didn't want WindClan to become enduldged in their crimes, but he knew that it wouldn't be possible for a small, weak tom like him to overthrow an entire clan of cats who thrived for blood. All he could do was hope that the darkness the bloodthirsty cats brought with them would be driven out; doubts lingered in his mind though, keeping his blue eyes sorrowful.
Well, it would only do them good if I starved, Hareskip thought glumly. Though he disliked himself beyond belief, Hareskip knew that he could be something of value to the clan, and he could only do that if he stayed well-fed, rather than malnourished and more weak and fragile than his tiny body permitted. Heavingnhimself to his small paws, Hareskip trotted over to the fresh-kill pile, his orange-tabby tail waving wildly in the air, and his cream-colored coat twinkling somewhat in the afternoon sun. Graspingbhus jaws around a small rabbit, Hareskip walked over to a darker, more shady spot; though the air was brisk, and snow spotted the ground, the tom always favoured the darker spots that the clearing held; it gave Hareskip a comforting feeling as he laid there, chewing slowly on the rabbit, tearing small tufts of fur off of the prey. The older warrior felt as though he were a kit again, whenever he sat in the dim spots of the snowy clearing; he had been a kit when his first leaf-bare came, and the nursery was cool and dark. The feeling of his mother's presence struck him, making Hareskip temporarily subdued in the memories of the past, causing his blue eyes to go blank as he gnawed on his rabbit, making it wet and slobbery.
|
Green eyes peered through the entrance to the warriors' den sleepily. The she-cat hadn't slept since Singenight became leader, fearing that the darkened warriors would try to kill her in her sleep for not being clan-born. Shorttail got up from her nest, fear and cold both making her pelt stand on end as she stepped out of the cover of the den. She didn't know who she could trust anymore; well, there was one...
The orange tabby spotted her friend laying in the shade of the cold, seemingly dead camp. She slowly crept up to him, keeping a watch on her back for anyone wishing her ill-will. "Hey, Hareskip," she said, trying to make herself seem normal. "You seem troubled." 'Why wouldn't he be troubled? Singenight is leader for Starclan's sake!' she thought.
She sat down next to the larger tom, wrapping her tail over her paws. "You okay?" she asked, not making eye contact with him. She was too busy keeping her eyes everywhere else, on every cat she saw. She couldn't be sure that her blood wouldn't get her killed. She glanced down when she felt her stomach growl. She needed food but refused to be caught off guard.

"Good, now, an attack can come from anywhere and you must be prepared." She told him, "Look for possible ambush spots in this area."

Foxpaw looked around and mistook what his mentor had said and began listing places he could hide "well I could hide in the tall grass" He meowed "I sorta blend in with the shrubs so I could hide in those" the new apprentice began to get excited "and my mother taught me how to cover my scent" He said enthusiastically

"That might be all well and fun for when you actually get into a battle but where could they ambush you?" Leopardfoot snarled, narrowing her eyes and lashing her tail.
