Dappledheart's cool green eyes shifted to the other beside her, a casual expression on her face as she pretended that conversation wasn't even on her mind; surprised that the other would even talk to her. Her gaze glanced down at the other's deranged paw for one moment before looking back at the she-cat's face for a moment. Her chest swelled confidently at the other's compliment about her prey that she'd brought back and as if Boulderpaw had read her mind, the other had asked about going hunting together later.

Of course she wanted a hunting partner; that'd just get them more prey in the end. However, her ornery personality caught control of her tongue and between through that speckled maul, she spoke in a sassy tease, "You best ask your mentor if that's okay, first." She just couldn't let her higher ranking slip out of the picture. Though she knew good well that the other she-cat was probably older than her, she couldn't help herself. Her green gaze held on the other in a suave half lid, wanting to appear cool in her burn.

Boulderpaw's ears quirked backwards and suddenly her pride and arrogance came back to her. Eugh, being all dewy eyed at another she cat? Yeah, she was pretty and competent and-
She had to stop her thought process.
"I haven't seen my mentor around camp in a while, so I figured he wouldn't miss me, anyway."
She kept her tone cool, but she was just a little disgruntled that she had to go through training all over again. She had lied and said she was an outsider. She still hated it.

Blackkit stopped and shook her head vigorously. What was this kit saying? OF COURSE SHE COULD TALK, COULDNT SHE? Every cat could talk, and she could too!

This kit was going to turn his muzzle gray by the end of the moon.

At Swallowkit's shrill cry, Buckstar found it VERY difficult to stop himself from scowling down at her, though he couldn't hold back the irritated sigh that puffed from his nose. Couldn't these kids give him a bit of a break? He didn't have the time or the energy to rein them in every minute of every hour.

He leaned over to give her a stern look. "Absolutely not," he chided. "You just broke your leg. You shouldn't even be out of the medicine den! Go back and lay down before I drag you over there myself, which I totally will do."

Soon to be Lightkit wiggled her way into birth, mewing and wiggling to get close to her mom, she saw nothing, no light, nothing. From her nose she could sense some weird thing but had no idea what it was.
The newborn started suckling on her mom.
