I just left to visit the kits, I love them and the newborns are too small to come visit us so I just travel to visit them at times and give them flowers, since their heads are a bit too small for a flower crown.“ she purred.

Oakcreek let out a small chuckle. "Ah, it's Oakcreek." He quickly corrected, "Also, that's very nice of ya' to do that. I'm sure the newborns appreciate it much." The tom quickly paused to lick his lip before continuing. “I’m more of a simple story telling type myself, but I can see how the kits might enjoy wearing flower crowns while they listen to our tales.”

Butterflytiger gave a smile,” I love telling them stories, but I miss being a warrior sent out on patrols. But, I guess we are too old for patrols, I couldn’t make it if I unretired and became a warrior again...” she meowed realizing it was sad.

Oakcreek nodded in agreement. "Ah, patrols were the best! But, I do agree with us being too old, I mean—if I went on a patrol now, I would probably break a bone or two if I'd encounter a wild animal or somethin'!" The tom said, obviously over exaggerating. It was quite sad though, as being an elder you didn't really have any tasks more than eating, sleeping, telling kits stories, and more personal things.

Flowerkit trudged back into the camp, her long, white-tipped tail dragging in the dirt behind her. Why did Buckstar have to be so tense? She just wanted to have fun! And also show that she could be a warrior! A fierce warrior, the youngest one that the Clans had ever known! But it didn't seem like that would happen. Sighing, she continued onward, glancing back at Buckstar before turning away with a little kit-glare at the ground. She remembered the fact that she might want an elder's story, but why did she want to spend so much time in a den of stinky old cats? Well, she had to, didn't she? Turning back to Buckstar, she asked, "Will I be punished?" She really didn't want to be. And she had just wanted to prove herself, right? She'd make herself a warrior if he did that! She made sure not to show her hidden uncertainty.
