Elmkit looked up at the apprentice and nodded slowly, he was enjoying having a playmate for once but he agreed with Leopardpaw. He looked up to the older apprentice, and would not argue.

Leopardpaw flashed Elmkit a small, apologetic smile. "Come find me when your better, okay?" the tom told the kit. "And make sure to eat" The apprentice added.

With one last stern look at Swallowkit, Buckstar turned back to the waiting kits and gave them a smile. "Awesome.

"Smokykit [ @Mumble ], from this moment on until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Smokepaw. Your mentor will be Dawnfern [ @Trouble ]." Maybe an apprentice of her own would keep her away from that Blizzardpaw.

"Flashkit [ @Wings ], until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Flashpaw. Elkthorn [ @Beau ] will mentor you."

"Singekit [ @Puddle~ ], until you finish your training and receive your warrior name, you will be called Singepaw. Your mentor will be Dustsong [ @Quailsong ]."

"And Charkit [ @Zesty Mango ], until you receive your warrior name, you'll be known as Charpaw. Your mentor will be Cinderfang [ @SorrelClaw ]. Congratulations, you guys."

Buckstar sat back to give the new apprentices some time to find and meet their mentors before he moved on.

@SorrelClaw Charpaw skimmed the clearing looking for his new mentor. But there were just so many faces in the crowd so he stood there. Hoping his mentor didn’t notice that clear burn scar on his right shoulder. Oh gosh, his coughing fits were certain to get him shamed for not being able to really be an apprentice. Oh gosh, he’d certainly become an elder in a week or two. That’d be a sad day for him.

But Lionwhisker does want us to still get exercise. But, I remember some Riverclan elder back when I was a warrior who made apprentice’s from any clan make her a nest so she could rest in it. I wouldn’t make an apprentice do that.” she meowed.

Swallow would surely be grumpy for the rest of the day and Wren lowkey didn’t want to deal with it. He understood, though- he wanted to be an apprentice too! Maybe he would get to become one sooner since his leg wasn’t broken like hers...

Nodding vigorously along with Kes’ reassurances, Wren bopped Swallowkit sympathetically and gave her a grin as a giddy idea occurred to him. He gave her a wink and broadened his smile, gesturing at it and his eyes in his special language to show that he wanted her to watch this cause it would make her feel better.

A strong nod and he was off, slinking and creeping amongst the crowd of cats toward the thunder willow. This was going to be great. Wren’s pointed claws gleamed in the light as he stuck them into the bark of the tree and started his climb, keeping back so another twist of bark hid him from the onlookers. A few more movements and there he was, right up beside Buckstar. Not wanting to be caught, Wrenkit skunk under Buckstar and began to mimic his movements from below his belly, adding in a few flairs that he was sure Swallowkit and Kestrelkit would take as him performing an apprentice ceremony.
