It had been a long day, and frankly, Sweetdream was just about ready to collapse in the middle of the clearing. However the calling of a tiny voice soon had the warrior perked up and alert again. As moons pass, the days get shorter or longer depending on what the weather is like! It seems to be getting colder, so the days have begun passing by sooner. At least... I think that's how it works?" Sweetdream let out a haphazard chuckle, quite unsure of the topic herself. She knew the answer, but as to why it happened remained a mystery to the molly. "Nevermind that." She quickly dismissed, continuing on, "Anything else you have to say? Or... perhaps I could tell you some stories instead? I'm not going anywhere if you're sticking around."

The cream kit looked down at her paws as her question was answered. It just made her a little more confused honestly, what did the Moon have to do with daytime? Wasn't that the Sun's job? The bright light and what not. She puffed out her cheeks as she thought about it. Luckily, for her own mental stability, the Warrior brought up a different topic. One that, hopefully, seemed less confusing. She'd try to wrap her brain around the whole Moon and what not another time.

Round eyes lit up with interest and a bigger smile graced her face. "No more questions right now. Stories sound much funner." she hummed. The kit took the time to sit herself down, and neatly wrapped her tail around her paws. Half in an attempt to look presentable, and the other half because her toes were getting cold.

Blackkit awoke with a start and squeaked, no sound coming out of her mouth.

Kestrelkit tried so, so hard not to laugh. He didn't wanna tip Boringstar off and get Wren caught, but it was hard. Really hard. He ended up grinning wide enough to show all his pointy little teeth, a short, unflattering sound between a snort and a giggle escaping before he could snatch it back. Kes bumped his shoulder into Swallowkit's. Was she seeing this too?? "Maybe Wrenstar will make us apprentices," he meowed under his breath.

Kes really didn't feel ashamed of his glee. Buckstar deserved it for being a meanie to Swallow in front of everyone. Was Swallowkit as annoying as a scratchy bush? Of course! But only Wren and Kestrel got to be meanies to her about it. No other cats, fake dads or not. That was just how the law of siblings worked.

Nightkit shrank back and flattened her ears. Why didn't he talk to me? I talked to him! And tried to play with him he ignored me! And noticed everyone else! Especially Blackkit.. Then she looked up to see Blackkit and scoffed she can't even mew! ( @Drago0n. Quailsong. Are you guys ok with maybe Nightkit trying to always be mean to Blackkit for getting the most attention and she tries to be his favorite? )

Flashkit-no, Flashpaw. She was an apprentice now. What did that mean for her though? Being a kit... was... was... it was hard for her to explain in her mind. It wasn’t particularly boring but what was amazing about it? What was the big hype about being an apprentice or a warrior? Yes she knew it was to serve her clan but what else? What was her meaning in life? Just to train her tail off to go die in battle?
She didn’t know. Not yet but she would.

Her mentor was... Elkthorn? The name sounded familiar but she didn’t know him. Her? They? She didn’t know anything about her new mentor. Hopefully they weren’t an idiot. The burn scarred she just waited for Elkthorn to come search her out. He’d be able to see her better than she would be able to see him.
