Kit to Apprentice
Kits should have existed as a kit for at least one-month real life time to qualify for a ceremony.
You should have at least five roleplay posts made with that kit. These can span anywhere in the character's life.
The character should not have recently been punished by a high rank, or have been caught in roleplay doing something that violates the Warrior Code or Roleplay Guidelines (that is punishable by a high rank.)
Apprentice to Warrior
Apprentices should have existed as an apprentice for at least two months real lifetime to qualify for a ceremony, and be at least 12 moons of age unless accentuating circumstances cause them to earn a warrior name sooner--That is up to Dawnstar.
You will need at least one hundred roleplay posts made with that apprentice. These can span anywhere in the character's life.
Apprentices need at least five instances of training experience that include the company of a warrior. The warrior does not have to be their mentor. This can be border patrols, hunting, battles and/or battle training, or some event that results in the character gaining life experience.
Apprentices need to actively attend at least one Gathering. Making one post does not count-- they need to socialize with the other Clans or their Clan-mates, with a minimum of three posts.
Apprentices need to actively attend at least one Clan meeting. This includes showing up to their own ceremony through roleplay and, if applicable, reacting to the ceremony accordingly. For example, if a cat becomes a warrior in the meeting, the apprentice should join in with chanting the new warrior's name.
The character should not have recently been punished by a high rank, or have been caught in roleplay doing something that violates the Warrior Code or Roleplay Guidelines (that is punishable by a high rank.)
Apprentices must have taken a battle assessment with Dawnstar to earn her approval for a warrior ceremony. The only expectation being that she stated she'll be using an event or raid as a replacement assessment.
Warrior to Queen
Warriors will need to make an IC request to be moved to a nursery and be relieved of their warrior duties for a real life time of six months or less. After six month, unless there is a valid excuse, whether they joined as a queen or requested the rank, Dawnstar will boot them out of the nursery. Dawnstar may decline the request if the cat is not one moon into their pregnancy or showing. Dawnstar will allow cats, regardless of gender, to take on the role of a queen to help out with kits. She will allow only one forever queen.
If she feels the cat is merely freeloading, not take care of the kits, or being useful she may set a time limit on how long they can stay in the nursery, immediately return them to a warrior, or exile them for being lazy.
The queens have one job, One. Job. That is taking care of the kits, Dawnstar will reprimand the queens, regardless of whether they're the parent or guardian of the kit, if too many kits get lost or happen to be bad. She may assign orphaned kits to a queen as their responsibility, regardless she'll scold the queens as a whole if kits cause her too much trouble.
Warrior to Elder
You will need at least 250 posts with the character as a warrior, with the possible exception of the character being created as an old warrior, such as if you create your character and start roleplaying them already at seventy moons of age or older.
If they are seventy moons or older, they will qualify to become an elder due to old age. Prior to being seventy, they will need a valid reason to retire, such as a health condition. This condition will need to be verified by the medicine cat, and Dawnstar might listen to their advice on the matter.
Anyone Else to Elder
Young cats such as kits or apprentices who are born disabled or injured too severely to become a warrior, it is highly likely that Dawnstar will personally put them down or simply toss them out of the clan. Should they prove their worth and use to her, Dawnstar may let them continue freeloading in her clan.
Joining as an Outsider
Outsiders are required to speak to Dawnstar before joining. Kits may be allowed to join after speaking to her, and queens will receive special leniency until their kits are born. Dawnstar will reassess the queen one moon after the birth of their kits. Any other cat will have to convince Dawnstar that they will be valuable to her clan, and are worth her time.
