That was the last straw. Buckstar rose to his paws, to his full height, as his lips peeled back in a furious snarl. "Coldamber is to be left out of this," he growled. The fur along his spine rose and his tail began to lash from side to side. "You cannot demand she do anything. We are not forcing her to stay here and do a job StarClan has chosen for you. Anymore talk of kidnapping and I'll tell Glidingfeather to put you on each dawn patrol she sends out, and you will be obligated to complete it. Do you understand me?" He had half a mind to move between Coldamber and Frostbreeze so that the latter didn't try to start something that wouldn't end well.

He was silent for a long moment, his teeth still bared and his eyes burning with the rest of his unspoken anger. And then he stepped back, and although his tone was calmer and more controlled, the glower was still present and very much prominent. "There is no negotiating your perks with this position, Frostbreeze. Either you take it, or you don't, and I'll tell Glidingfeather to stick you on patrols for the rest of your life and get someone to make you do them whether you want to or not. So, what's it going to be?"

A small, familiar looking kit dragged themselves through the clan entrance, shivering and quietly coughing. Swankit's fur looked to have gotten wet at some point, it was still dripping with droplets and stained with mud. The growls of his stomach shook his already tottering body. @Supernatural Slushie

Coldamber's eyes went wide and she took a few steps away from Frostbreeze. She looked back to Buckstar.

She kept her head lowered and her gaze away from the cat next to her.

Sunlight warmed the russet furred she cat as she strolled into the clearing. Forestpaw smiled at a couple of her clan mates. She was feeling quite good today! Barely any worries, not too much stress, and an uncanny sense of calmness and happiness. Suddenly two forest green eyes unintentionally honed in on a familiar golden pelt. Lionpaw! Forestpaw’s smile evolved into a small grin as she sped up her pace and dashed over to him. “Hi there Lionpaw!“ The white spotted apprentice mewed eagerly.

The golden tom had been watching songbirds hop around the forest when he heard a greeting aimed towards him. His tail twitched as he turned around, a grin spreading onto his face when he saw the speaker. "Hey, Forestpaw!" the abyssinian mix meowed brightly. A flood of emotions surged through him, ranging from excitement to relief and a bit of guilt. He still felt bad about that incident from a moon or two ago, and his tail lowered somewhat submissively. "How have you been doing?" Lionpaw inquired, hoping to get the conversation started.
